After a string of releases that cemented their position as upstart alchemists of richly textured,  forward-thinking club music, Argentinian artists extraordinaire Last Men on Earth and  Agustin Giri continue their trajectory with a delicate juxtaposition of organic overtones and  shuddering electric contortions. ‘Silencio’ delivers a unique blend of hypnotic Electronica with  three originals and two re-imaginations by Elif and Mila Stern for Kiosk ID no. 029.    ‘The Sirens’ submerges the listener in a glistening ocean of bells, ricocheting drum patterns,  and silky ambience. Darkly muted breakdowns imbue the track with cinematic power in a  bold amalgamation of stripped rumble and blissful tranquility.   
Setting cycling polyrhythmics to a heavy acoustic breakbeat, ‘Silencio’ is an artful nod to the  threesome’s roots in Experimental Rock. Erratically looping square waves, eerie  resonances, and mangled synth sweeps weave a multichromatic tapestry of coalescing  harmonics that channel a razor-sharp soundscape.   On ‘Usefool,’ the trio channels a frenetic sense of volatility through boundless eclecticism.  Deep chords, subdued acid lines, eruptive vocal chops, and a booming Electro beat  effortlessly cross moods and genres, merging into a choppy, deceptively deep block party  smasher.   

Mila Stern’s rendition strips the original  to a minimal throb, deftly supercharging its resonating wavetable aesthetics with pitching  metallic salvos and cascading bells.   

Elif delivers a thundering four-to-the-floor remix that  transforms the original's sweeping eruptions into high-energy bursts with ravey, floor-focused  joie de vivre.   There’s something quietly revolutionary about how Last Men on Earth and Agustin Giri draw  on every sound at their disposal and end up with a strikingly musical and harmonic release  that doesn’t feel overdone. ‘Silencio’ is boldly refreshing, captivatingly musical, and a  pioneering achievement at the bleeding edge of electronic music.
