[Short Bio]
Catalin aka Vern was born in Constanta, Romania. With a solid ten year experience as a selector and producer, and has worked with such labels as Rowle, Lokomotiv, Joule Imprint and Re.Face Limited.
Blending music without rules, creating stories from simple notes, exploring new musical patterns, and manipulating sounds characterize Vern’s particular style—a real treat for any minimal music lover.

[Set description]
Vern opens his performance with a straight opening that propels the audience directly in the groove. A playful syncopated bass supports dreamy soundscapes, while fast pace rhythms join the dance. The artist’s selection is beyond meticulous and aims toward one direction: rolling and driving positive vibrations. 
One track after the other, the audience revels in stellar artefacts and stripped down sequenced synthesizers. The energy level is constantly high, as Vern’s dynamic mixing allows only a few breakdowns to rest. From time to time though, the appearance of delicate and serene Romanian vocals invite a moment of calm… But only briefly before the train goes back full on in glitches and blips with almost a psy flavour!
In the end, the artist’s mixing and energy levels are flawless from A to Z. Groovy but with a hard twist, you won’t be able to stop dancing before the beautiful sung outro.

Based in Odessa, Ukraine, Yura Sitov aka Osvit is a DJ, producer and electronic music enthusiast that’s been involved in the underground techno and house scene for quite some time now. He started his career in 2007 and until 2015 he performed using another alias, winning the public’s attention by being a welcomed guest in numerous clubs in Ukraine. In 2012 he founded his own musical project, [“to be hip” underground and intellectual side of music] and held several successful parties. In 2013 he becomes a part of CULT.Beat, a well-known platform who invites skilled DJs, top-notch producers and amazing VJs in order to create memorable dance experiences.

Schmaus is a fellowship of minimal music lovers who passionately believe in the great talent that has been developed over the years in Romania and abroad.
It all started in 2014 in Timișoara (western Romania), when minimal enthusiasts teamed up to create ephemeral spaces for artists to express their art without any restrictions. These special events aimed for the highest sophistication of sound, as well as a space for people enjoy the events and want to be able to "let go" for the night. Schmaus had the immense privilege to host genuine artists from the scene such as Mihai Pol, Macarie, Gescu, Melodie, Teluric, Paul K, Lizz, Cosmjn, only to name a few.
When the pandemic started, the next logical step was to keep the same idea of unity through selected podcast performances … but we promise that we will all dance again in the near future!
