Memphis, Tennessee has always been known for some of the greatest music especially for it's soulful, blues which could be heard from early recordings on Stax records and down on the popular Beale St. Scholar, a Memphis native just wants to continue to produce the quality and sound of that down south sound that started it all. He began experimenting with his talent early in life when he would sing and perform oldies with his brother, sisters, and cousins. He also took a liking in playing the piano, which would eventually lead to him producing tracks for himself. Coming from the bottom of the slums of his city he found an escape in his music, which also proved to be a release therapy for him because there were so many problems at home. All through out school he would hone his skills by battling, performing at local talent shows, even recording two mixtapes and rapping at the lunch table. It's not all about the fame, but more about making good music and that is exactly what he is going to bring you. Scholar captures not only his life moments but also tells stories of everything that's occurring around him. His stories run as deep as the roots of the South. Enjoy his catalog of songs, which currently he is working on his album Oktober's Diary and there will be many more projects in 2016.
