MIDAS 104 ( URSL // KATERMUKKE // Berlin ) presents Afterhour Sounds Podcast 104

Passenderweise zeichnet sich für unsere #104 der großartige Musikvirtuose MIDAS 104 verantwortlich. Wie viele Produzenten von elektronischer Musik liegen auch seine Anfänge in den Tiefen des Hip-Hop verborgen. Als Berliner Kind ist es natürlich nur eine Frage der Zeit bis man eines Tages auch Berührungspunkte mit elektronischer Musik erfährt, was in seinem Fall ein sehr prägendes Erlebnis gewesen sein muss. 

Auf sein Debüt-Release im Jahr 2013 auf Katermukke​ folgten mittlerweile etliche sehr erfolgreiche Veröffentlichungen auf so namhaften Labels wie URSL​ - Einmusika Recordings​ - Crossfrontier Audio​ - Parquet Recordings​ - Dantze​. Allein die Labels auf denen der Berliner seine Produktionen bisher veröffentlicht hat liest sich wie das 'Who is Who' der elektronischen Musikszene. Solche Erfolge kommen natürlich nicht von ungefähr, so stehen seine Produktionen für eine außergewöhnlich hohe Qualität und Vielfalt. Ein weiteres Qualitätsmerkmal ist die stetige Weiterentwicklung seines Sounds, gerade wenn man sich einmal etwas intensiver mit seiner Musik beschäftigt hat, dann sticht dieser Prozess besonders hervor. Dieser Fakt lässt darauf schließen, dass wir auch in Zukunft noch sehr viel Freude mit den musikalischen Werken des sympathischen Berliners haben werden.  

Wir möchten uns ganz herzlich bei unserem lieben Freund MIDAS für sein Vertrauen in unser Projekt und sein musikalisches Meisterwerk bedanken mit dem wir euch nun maximalste Unterhaltung wünschen.

Ich schlendere durch die Straßen und bekomme die Szene aus der Straßenbahn nicht aus meinen Kopf. Warum hat der Typ unbedingt ein Blick auf die Kapsel an meinem Handgelenk werfen wollen. Im grellen Licht der nächsten Straßenlaterne prüfe ich die Kapsel ausgiebig. Das zähflüssige Etwas in der Kapsel ist komplett erstarrt. Es scheint als würde dem Inhalt die Energie fehlen. Soweit ich mich erinnern kann, hat es in der Nacht des großen Raves fluoresziert und sich wellenartig bewegt. Vielleicht wird es durch die Einlasskontrolle der ComRa Events aktiviert. Es hat aber auch so einen ästhetischen Wert und trägt sich ähnlich wie ein Festivalbändchen auch gut im Alltag. Natürlich ist es wie alles was ComRA macht wieder größer, bunter und ausgefallener. Je länger ich diese Miniaturlavalampe betrachte und mein Handgelenk drehe, um alle Seiten untersuche zu können, desto mehr habe ich das Gefühl, dass das Innere der Kapsel sich wieder langsam zu bewegen beginnt. Jedoch nur ganz langsam und kaum wahrnehmbar. Es bleibt mir jedoch immer noch ein Rätsel, was der Flyer-Verteiler sich in sein Handy notiert hat nachdem er auf meine Kapsel geschaut hatte.
Da sich dieses Geheimnis nicht lösen lies, beschloss ich meine Nachforschungen am nächsten Tag fortzusetzen. Ich ging weiter Richtung „Hufeisen“, um endlich wieder die Energie der Tanzfläche spüren zu können. Das Licht der Neonreklame war von weitem in der dunklen Gasse zu erkennen. Wie ein Leuchtturm in der dunklen Nacht, zeigt es einem den Weg in den sicheren Hafen der elektronischen Glückseligkeit. Doch schon an der Tür wurde meine aufkommende Vorfreude abrupt gedämpft. Mit der Kapsel an der Hand würde ich nicht in den Club kommen. Es gab angeblich schon negative Vorfälle im Zusammenhang mit diesen Dingern. Ich wollte mich nur ungern von meinem liebgewonnenen Accessoire trennen, aber der Türsteher machte keine Ausnahme. Von drinnen vernahm ich schon den schweißtreibenden Sound von Kotelett & Zadak, der mich wie der Gesang der Sirenen magisch anzog. Die beiden durfte ich unmöglich verpassen. Hypnotisierende Klänge mit Charme und Stil gepaart mit einem Schuss Extravaganz. Eine einmalige Show, die eine großartigen Abend verspricht. Also ab die Kapsel und rein ins Vergnügen!
