FINNEST brings us a new release, "ITS TOO LATE" by Mesquitas & Danny (AT), in its third reference, second of its "Underground Series" division, it is an original cut accompanied by a remix by the talented Philipp Lichtblau. The Original cut is an obvious example of the quality that Rafa and Danny have accustomed us to, very elegant deep house with a super sensual vocal and a subtle rhythm perfect for heating up the club floor at the beginning of the night. In the remix we have Philipp, who after having signed on labels like HedZup or Rendr presents us with a more minimalist version of It's Too Late, with a deeper bassline, a more extended dynamic and a happy groove that makes you move your foot uncontrollably and inevitably. Without a doubt, this maxi is a piece worthy of collecting.

“ICH LIEBE MEIN LEBEN” ist sein Motto und dieses wird auch konsequent, mit gleichnamiger Crew umgesetzt. 
Zu elektronischer Tanzmusik wurde der gebürtige Brandenburger, damals noch mit dem schwarzen Gold, sozialisiert. Dies wirkt nach wie vor hypnotisierend auf Roland alias https://soundcloud.com/arisfunkymonkey. 
Prägend für seinen Sound sind die zahlreichen eigenen Partys in den Off-Locations, die die Rote Armee im Brandenburger Umland hinterlassen hat. Absolut ohne Zweifel hat sein Dasein als Resident in einem der besten Clubs in Brandenburg, dem Treibhaus in Glöwen, seine Berechtigung.
Die lange Zeit hinter den Decks hat Spuren hinterlassen, so weiß man nie welcher Sound einen heute erwartet...nur eins ist sicher, Spaß wird es garantiert bringen.

🗯🗯 Wie ist die Situation in Coronazeiten bei euch? 🗯🗯

Unser Künstlerdasein hat sich – wie bei den Meisten – grundsätzlich erst einmal um 180 Grad verändert. Mittlerweile versuchen wir aber immer besser mit der Krise als eine neue Normalität umzugehen. Das schafft uns Raum und Kreativität für Neues. Glücklicherweise hat unser Resident Club, das Harry Klein, zu Beginn der Krise relativ schnell mit Livestreams aus dem Club begonnen und wir hatten so die Möglichkeit zumindest eine Art von Öffentlichkeit für unsere Musik zu schaffen. Als wir erst einmal verstanden hatten mit den neuen Voraussetzungen umzugehen, konnten wir auch  wieder unsere Leidenschaft zur Musik finden – selbst wenn erst Mal kein schnelles Zurück in Aussicht steht. So hatten wir beispielsweise selbst in diesem Jahr einen der tollsten Momente überhaupt auf dem Aware Festival in Brandenburg.

Der Wahlberliner Stan Starry, der den meisten Thüringerinnen und Thüringern durch seine umtriebigen Jahre in Erfurt bekannt sein dürfte, liefert mit dem step028 einen super tanzbaren Mix zwischen House und Techno. 
Mystischer und düsterer Techhouse beschreibt es wohl am besten.

🗯🗯 Wie hat Corona dein Künstlerleben verändert? 🗯🗯

Mir fehlen definitiv die Tanzflächen der Clubs und Festivals ungemein. Ich hab es immer als großes Privileg gesehen, die Musik vor Menschen spielen zu dürfen, die man selbst am besten findet. Dieses Privileg weiß ich auf jeden Fall deutlich mehr wertzuschätzen.

Ich bin finanziell nicht komplett abhängig von der Musik, emotional aber auf jeden Fall. Dieser leichte Druck, wenn man die nächste Platte auswählt und es eigentlich der richtige Track für den richtigen Moment sein müsste. Wenn dann 5 Minuten später das Publikum die eigene Vorhersage bestätigt, ist das ein ziemlich überragendes Gefühl. Das vermisse ich ziemlich.

Ein paar Auftritte zwischen beiden Lockdowns sind zum Glück geblieben. Ob das nun im hiesigen Hotel oder in meinem Residentclub Luna ist, solange ein paar Leute inklusive mir einen guten Bar-Abend haben, reicht das erstmal aus.

🗯🗯 Wo hast du diesen Mix aufgenommen? Wie ging es dir dabei? 🗯🗯

Den Mix habe ich in meiner Wohnung in Kiel aufgenommen. Die Tage davor waren für mich etwas verwirrend aber durch den Mix habe ich vieles sortiert und danach ging es mir deutlich besser. Ich habe sowohl Vinyl als auch digitale Tracks gewählt und gegen Ende einen unreleased Track von der zweiten Bladehouse Compilation. Ein junger Mann beschreibt im Break ganz blumig, was viele der Hörer vielleicht vermissen ;)

🗯🗯 Was wünscht du dir für die Zeit nach oder mit Corona? 🗯🗯

Natürlich wünsche ich mir, dass Clubs/Festivals und alle anderen Kulturschaffenden wieder auf die Beine kommen und auch ich wieder meinen Teil dazu beitragen kann. Besonders wünsche ich mir das für den Luna Club, der seit 4 Jahren meine musikalische Heimat in Kiel ist und kurz vor Corona von drei jungen Freunden übernommen wurde. Außerdem wäre es schön, wenn noch mehr meiner Produktionen ihren Weg in die Sammlungen anderer Künstler finden. Ich bin zuversichtlich!

🗯🗯 Where did you record the mix and how did you feel? 🗯🗯

Recording this mix was quite special for me. Normally I did my recordings at the club where I used to work as a Nightmanager. As its closed due to Corona I had to think of another plan. So I locked myself in with a bunch of my favorite records on a friday night and did a vinyl only podcast (as I don’t have digital stuff at home). At the beginning it was not easy to get into the vibe as I am really missing the dancefloors but after some time it all flowed naturally.

🗯🗯 What are your wishes for the time after Corona? 🗯🗯

I hope the scene will be refreshed. The more I had time to think about everything the more I see the point that the scene was a bubble just about to burst anyway. It has lost its roots and what it is all about. Now I had the time to rethink where I musically came from and where or what I want to be in the future.

The most important thing for me is that no more clubs will have to close. Fingers crossed. I am really missing these special places.

When the floor is grooving and bouncing, she can't be far away: Starting with burned Loveparade CDs in her mom's car and sporty sessions on the dance floors of Berlin, founding her own collective Verteiler and working on various projects like the MIT DIR Festival and Femquency - the common thread of our electronic music scene stretches through Schwirri's life.

Following the motto 'Schwirri's house is your house!', she creates with driving basslines, crazy accents and proper tempo exactly the right atmosphere, that puts the crowd into a good mood and she already puts the one or other dancefloor in motion. Sometimes she also uses neighboring genres. And what is never missing? The always ongoing groove! 
From time to time she's also on the decks as a duo with her boyfriend and DJ BARTi.

Holger Sinn is an electronic dance music producer from Germany. Born in Pforzheim. His music career started in the eighties as a part of the speed metal band called Destroyer where he was also founder and songwriter.
Not only interessted in heavy metal stuff, he also loved to discover popular componists like Stockhausen, Mozart, Bach, Kraftwerk, Einstürzende Neubauten and the “Neue Deutsche Welle”. Back in the end of the 80′ies he find out early elecotronical stuff like KLF, Front 242, Vangelis, Faltermeyer and loved it. More and more influenced from that music and parties in Omen, Dorian Gray, Kiwi, Gummibär, Nexus, Trance, Berlins Tresor and of course the parades in Zürich and Berlin he started to play that music too. He played his acid records not only in clubs in Baden Würrtemberg, also in radio shows like Radio Störfunk.
