Blue circles under your eyes It’s so hard to sleep when you wake up and another one dies We’ve been doing this for days but every message is another surprise I guess you don’t get used to breaking news when it tears you up inside  4 weeks at home, you’re all that I see We take up art and then we drink all night just to feel nothing And I haven’t cleaned the kitchen in a while and our heads are unmade But we aren’t working in a hospital, and I’m mad because the nurses aren’t okay  And I didn’t see this coming Another urchin snaps alone in paradise But sometimes you go running And I watch you through the window and it makes me feel alive  Blank pages on the bedroom floor You have a meeting with your boss on the phone that I’m trying to ignore And I stopped reading cos I don’t feel like thinking about this anymore Instead I’m growing jealous of the dead in the Last of Us IV
