A short visit to the Indochinese Peninsula at the wrong time of the global pandemic breakout, led Ian Richter to over a year and a half of living in Vietnam, and to a deep love affair with the Vietnamese folk religion. Ian was intrigued to find a place drenched in culture and mysticism existing hand in hand with hyper capitalism (yet officially committed to socialism).

Over the course of the last 18 month Ian recorded, mentally and physically, the sounds of his encounters and experiences. From daily life, through industrial and natural landscapes, to ancient and modern dance, forging foreign with familiar, mysticism with science, and claustrophobia with liberation.

Italian DJ and producer Gianluca Pandullo a.k.a. I-Robots has chosen six of his favourite Electronic Emergencies tracks to reconstruct. The second part of a collaboration after a digital-only compilation of EE tracks by the founder of Opilec Music in 2020, the six rigorous reconstructions on this double 12-inch are long, luscious, and full of energy. Move Like Rays by Machinegewehr was injected with a high-energy vibe, while Das Ding's Want Need was transformed into an electro classic. Skeleton Head's queer anthem Beaten, Bloody, Bruised was given the percussion treatment, Danza Obscura by Borgie got an Italo Wave twist, and New Wave legends Chris Davis and M/A/N/O/S had their tracks worked over by dubby electro and minimal techno. Electronic Emergencies reconstructed by I-Robots consolidates the label's frontier electronic underground reputation.

An electro-acoustic quartet drawing energy from collective improvisation. The band released the album Siema Ziemia and the EPs EPA1 and Bells.

The album Siema Ziemia was recognized as one of the best electronic debuts in Poland. The group's tracks have found their way into Spotify's official playlists: State of Jazz, 21st Century Jazz. They want to cross the borders of genres such as breakbeat, drum&bass, spiritual-jazz. 

They experiment during live-acts to cross the borders of sound paradigms. They are inspired by phenomena on the verge of ritual, ceremonial and meditation activities.

Intriguing electronic duo Pola Women land on Rework’s Exlove label with a fantastic new six track EP. This duo is made up of Desiree Lune alongside Michel Kuebler, a pair who are split between Berlin and Stuttgart and are inspired by the aesthetics of 80s disco and cinema. Desiree is a singer and writer working on various different projects while studying art at the Kunstakademie Stuttgart. She is used to performing on stage and links here with Michel Kuebler, who is part of electronic bands Rework and She Lies and is adept at crafting synth-based songs and innovative drum machine loops. As Pola Women, the pair create manic rhythms and explore pulsing, immersive sound worlds that combine new wave synthscapes with a signature krautrock beat.

With this release called DON'T KNOW WHY we took the plunge into the heady mix of dark mythical synths with similarly gripping, dark and even gothic vocals. think of the philosophy of romanticism and the real feelings that are as indispensable as accepting your sadness..
The organic percussion, dark synths and the LEAF's gothic vocals work well together and create an ominous and dark dreamlike soundscape. This EP all sums up the re-created cover picture of the LEAF's favourite band Dead Cant Dance whos been a big musical influence for his production. The cover's photograph was taken in Paris, at the family grave of François-Vincent Raspail at Père-Lachaise cemetery.
