Welcome to ?! aka Interrobang.  All the songs on the album were composed since July 2019 when I joined SoundCloud and started writing music again after a very long break.  It's my first album, in spite of the fact that I've been recording electronic music since 1987. 

This track is the first new piece I posted on SC and the first original piece I'd written since 2010.  I posted it under the title "Let It Burn," but I've changed it in light of the horrible western U.S. fire season this year.  In a comment on the original posting someone called this piece gloomy.  Gloomy?!  Really?!   I hadn't thought of it that way, but I'm actually OK with that.  Hope you enjoy.  This and the new album.  :)

ancora una volta il 'compositional challenge' del progetto #Disquiet di questa settimana è molto interessante .. se ho capito bene si tratta di 'mostrare' e/o 'raccontare' una pratica musicale venuta significativamente a galla durante questo periodo così particolare .. "Share a tip for making music that you learned during the pandemic" .. be', per quanto mi riguarda, io ho 'scoperto' una specie di 'guida assistita' nel suonare le tastiere .. ho sempre amato i 'patterns' ripetitivi, su tutti quelli 'really terrific' di Terry Riley .. non essendo però in possesso di tale tecnica esecutiva e compositiva, mi sono spesso 'accontentato' di arpeggi, ostinati o strutture sostanzialmente semplici, a cui ho cercato di dare una qualche pregnanza, o quantomeno una 'voce' personale, ma che con l'andare del tempo sembravano mostrare i loro limiti .. le tastiere di ultima generazione mi sono venute decisamente incontro nel tentativo di superare questa 'impasse', possedendo numerose varianti di arpeggi o 'patterns' .. in questi mesi, quindi, mi sono fatto 'guidare' da queste apparecchiature digitali, come se pilotassi un'automobile dotata di assistenza elettronica .. non ho, credo, esagerato nel loro uso, non mi sono fatto prendere la mano - è il caso di dirlo - e il risultato non è particolarmente distante da una cosa che con un po' di impegno probabilmente sarei riuscito a fare anche senza l'assistente digitale, ma essendo veramente poco dotato di pazienza e disciplina, ho potuto realizzare abbastanza in fretta cose nuove e diverse da quelle che ero solito fare - che è sempre cosa buona e giusta, no? -  senza contare che mi pare proprio di avere imparato roba nuova, non lontana da quella a me già nota, ma comunque nuova ..

I've always wanted something to call my own, so I created a get-away with music. I use Musescore and Logic Pro X to make and write my music, key by key, chord by chord, and improv too!  

A group project I've worked on is @extemporaneous-collab, which is a collaboration of many different artists, including @EnigmaCurry @Myrhyum. We've released four albums, which are pretty good if I say so myself. There's also some improv additionally on that account.
The bottom most link is my Audius account, most if not all of the music I make singularly will be present on that account, otherwise, collaborations will be present here.
