One of Bangkok's key players in the underground music scene as well as co-founding “More Rice” an Asian-based, vinyl only label and record shop. He’s been a part of the electronic music for two decades with a first release under his given name Richard called Lieben Tun. Throughout his career he has released several albums as well as dozens of singles - sometimes with almost poetic track titles and  sometimes simply based on life itself and reality. He’s blending Electronica, Techno, (Deep) House and Acid - but foremost he has this spheric, deep signature sound that he either works into his calmer tracks or in his clubbier production - probably because his music touches and moves people. Richard von der Schulenburg short RVDS is one of Hamburg’s poster boys when it comes to sophisticated, demanding and ambitious music. Consequently he has had releases on labels such as Uncanny Valley, Smallville, Pudel Produkte, It’s or Bureau B to name a few. On latter his album Cosmic Diversity drops this Friday. Reason enough to have him here with us today at absolutely on music.

The next release from the re-activated Frank & Tony drops on Scissor and Thread. Following on from Dream Vibration - which broke a five year hiatus from the much-lauded production pair of Francis Harris and Anthony Collins - Eastern Meantimes brings us a sublime set of tracks and remixes. 

The original features New York artist Eliana Glass, whose sultry vocals ride above a deep, atmospheric groove and lush pads and washes. 

The track is also presented here with two stellar remixes from Timmy Regsiford, the New York legend who has been defining the sound of house in the city for nearly 40 years. 

Here his vocal and instrumental remixes are smooth, deep and infectious, sure to light up discerning dance- floors the world over. 
Frank & Tony’s Absence is the other original track here, a thick, pulsing bass-driven roller punctuated with sharp snares and the pair’s trademark ethereal pads. 

There’s also a digi exclusive where Regisford teams up with DSOL for a ‘retouch’ of Eastern Melodies - giving the track another flavor, rich in additional percussion and a slightly heavier groove.

Finally getting a vinyl re-release is Frank & Tony’s seminal work with breakout duo Bob Moses. Back in 2012 Francis Harris and Anthony Collins (Frank & Tony) worked with their fellow New Yorkers before they went on to sign to Domino Records.  

The four track EP is a deep, introspective dive into Frank & Tony’s early production work with the understated melancholic vocal stylings of Bob Moses (Tom Howie and Jimmy Vallence) that would pave the way to a new sound in house music. An essential release now for the first time on vinyl, capturing a vital period in both outfits' development.
