Joop Junior is an artist on the rise. Not many new producers immediately catch the attention of the scenes biggest stars but in 2012 the young Dutchman did just that when his tracks 'Exclusive My Ass' and 'Hipster Panic' were picked up by Richie Hawtin for his Minus imprint. Since then Joop's productions have gone on to win support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Umek, John Digweed and of course SCI+TEC boss, Dubfire. 

Joop looks to his music to transport the listener to another realm. Synthetic textures and uplifting rhythms are key and his moody and atmospheric sounds are woven together best in the sonic tapestries of his live club sets. His Itanimulli EP sees the Hague man deliver a four track SCI+TEC debut of the highest order and one that leaves is no doubt that Joop Junior is a star in the making.

Freezing winters, packed after-hours, and a scene that thrives just outside the spotlight is Montreal’s rhythm. This VA draws from that energy.

Guy Laliberté invited a handful of local artists reworking Cirque du Soleil in their own language: raw, stripped-back, and built for the dance floor.

Each remix brings something different to the table, but they’re united by a shared sense of restraint. The grooves are tight, and the low-end does most of the talking. You’ll recognize the DNA of the originals, but the context is new.

Hicky & Kalo’s take on Temperatio stands out for its deep emotional pull — hypnotic yet understated, it channels the track’s theatrical origins into something more intimate and meditative, perfectly tuned for the early hours.

This VA is about grounding Cirque du Soleil in the pulse of the city. In studios, on dark floors, through sound systems that favor pressure over perfection. It’s a subtle, thoughtful collection that reflects where Montreal is at right now.

As part of Frooogs Records’ ongoing remix series, the Montreal VA takes Cirque’s legacy and gives it a new frame — one that feels lived-in, local, and ready for after hours.

Plaisirs Sonores Records is proud to present Storm EP, the stunning new release from Argentine producer Alan Cerra, featuring two compelling originals—Storm and Shadowed Echoes, alongside a dynamic remix from New-York based artist Nadav Vee.

The release lands on August 8th, bringing together progressive grooves, melodic emotion, and peak-time energy in equal measure. Alan Cerra has quietly become one of the most respected rising names in the melodic and progressive scene. Known for his sleek, groove-heavy productions and emotive atmospheres, Alan has released on acclaimed labels such as Siona Records, The Soundgarden, and Mango Alley, with support from global icons like Miss Monique, Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and Guy J. His ability to blend musical sophistication with dancefloor function is fully on display across both original cuts on this EP.

The title track, Storm, is a hypnotic roller built around rising tension and expansive melodic layers, while Shadowed Echoes dives deeper, exploring more introspective textures and intricate rhythms.

On remix duties, Nadav Vee—an artist known for releases on labels such as Plattenbank and Silver Joe—injects Storm with a lighter, bouncy edge, pushing the track into day-time territory while preserving its emotional core.
