Our Canadian cousins, The Junkies, return to SCI+TEC with a follow up to their hugely popular Monkey Biz ep from 2013. Having first featured on the label with their Au Jour Le Jour EP of 2012, the Toronto natives then rolled out the wild, animalistic grooves on the follow up. Since then the boys have not only enjoyed a hectic global touring schedule but also seen the likes of Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber and Carlo Lio snap up new material for their labels. 

3X is The Junkies latest work and sees them present a weighty double-header in the form of Mis Cue and Get Down. Vicious grooves are in abundance here as they deliver the perfect balance of darkness and light. Vocal samples and relentless beats are balanced to perfection to deliver a heavy brace with an impressive underlying level of funk.

Polish-born, Berlin-based producer Pysh returns with a striking new release on Sincopat, distinct yet connected sonic statements that showcase his versatile approach to music. The EP also includes a timeless remix by Argentinian maestros Brigado Crew.

The EP opens with “Haunted”, featuring the haunting vocals of Anto9. This final cut dives into more emotional territory, where delicate textures and lyrical vulnerability meet a beautifully layered arrangement. It’s an evocative piece that lingers long after the last note fades.

Brigado Crew’s remix takes “Haunted” to the dancefloor, reimagining the track with a darker, more powerful edge. With driving grooves, tense atmospheres, and a peak-time energy, their reinterpretation transforms the original’s emotion into a dramatic club weapon.

Next comes “Apples & Berries”, a standout collaboration with Sincopat’s Big Kahuna, AFFKT.The track flows with warm harmonies, detailed sound design and an emotive structure that reveals the creative synergy between both artists. A deep and sophisticated jam that blurs the lines between introspection and movement.

In the wake of renewed activity on the
WASSERMANN front, Wolfgang Voigt’s legendary
fringe rave alter ego, we’re thrilled to introduce a
new generation of listeners to his game-changing
cut W.I.R. – the vocoder-fuelled banger was a
massive crossover hit in 2000, bringing the
idiosyncratic underground sounds emanating
from a young scene of Cologne producers and
DJs who rallied under the Kompakt banner to a
wider audience. It sounded like nothing else on
the dance floors at the time and paved Kompakt’s
way into the spotlight. First released on Voigt’s
experimental techno label Profan, the track hasn’t
lost a quota of its futuristic and fresh appeal to
this day – it’s every bit as timeless as the remixes
from German DJ icon SVEN VÄTH and Kompakt
power duo TOBIAS THOMAS & MICHAEL MAYER
which dropped shortly after the release of the
original. Find all of these plus a new FARBEN
REMIX of FACKELN IM STURM by Wolfgang Voigt
in one barnstorming package, remastered to
perfection and available as digital download for
