What’s your favourite poison? The question hit me unexpectedly in a Los Angeles kitchen, my flatmate asked, and suddenly a flood of answers came. This song is a deep dive into the subtle, and not-so-subtle, toxins we let seep into our lives: substances, distractions, patterns, people. "Your Favourite Poison" explores the seductive pull of champagne highs and emotional lows, the masks we wear, and the madness we hide behind curated selves.
Fueled by raw lyrics and a hypnotic beat, it reflects on everything from self-sabotage to our hunger for more—more love, more power, more control. It’s a mirror held up to the quiet addictions we don't always name, but often claim. I wrote it for the part in us that aches, escapes, and still wants to feel alive.

Our new release sees two of our rising stars team up to deliver two brand new minimal moments as Ricky Ebner joins forces with with Stiv Hey on the ‘Fatalistic EP’. 

Russian sensation Ebner first sprang on to the SCI+TEC radar back in 2013 and label boss Dubfire was quick to snap up hs Trantola EP. March this year saw Ricky back on board with the stripped back beats of his Take The Cause EP. Following that up in May was Stiv’s label debut, his Objects EP, a release that saw him leap into the limelight. 

Both Fatalistic and Influential see Ricky & Stiv diving head first into their murky, minimal soundscapes. Pulsing, elastic basslines, demonic vocals and clean, sharp hi-hats are the skeleton to both, fleshed out by the a myriad of sounds, fx and touches.

Ron Costa made a first label appearance back in 2013 with the dark groove and twisted vocals of ‘Berlidof’. The following year he was back, turning his remix talents to Paul Ritch’s ‘Pulse’. Today the Frenchman makes a welcome return with a brand new double-header - Goose / Erussel. 

Having had a global audience Dancin’ for the past twelve months Costa flies solo once again. Fresh from his excellent remix of Pig&Dan he delivers another brace of gripping techno tracks for SCI+TEC. 

The hypnotic Goose presents an almost asphyxiating groove that tightens throughout. One for the strobe-lit rooms, no doubt. Erussel on the flip is a different animal altogether. With its spacious beats and epic radiant rise, its a track that will have the dancer reaching for the celestial sphere.

With a constant eye and ear on new talent, SCI+TEC boss Dubfire uncovers his latest rising star and adds more young blood to the ever expanding label family. 

Our latest recruit is El Paso resident Raul Facio. Having already impressed with releases on Natura Viva and Deeperfect, Facio brings his fresh minimal sound to SCI+TEC on the Infinite EP. The four track collection dives us head first into a murky and mysterious techno underbelly. With their strong, driving basslines, all four tracks maintain a shadowy shroud, as rubbery sounds, piercing hits and wavelike washes appear from the darkness. 

A strong debut from one of techno’s most exciting young prospects.
