FINNEST presents "SAKURA" by Dkatt & Nic David, in its first reference of its division "Underground Series"

On side A, we can hear the main track, “Sakura”, a very elegant minimal with a bassline full of energy and movement accompanied by a full-bodied kick, stabs full of dynamite and some pads that take you straight to the sky.

As side B, “Meet Of Fate”, with a deeper bassline, this time accompanied by a very crunchy groove, beautiful melodies and amazing automations that make you feel like you are continually going up and down under the general vibe of the track.

Ultimately, there couldn't be a better presentation for the label than this great launch from these two great London-based producers.

After a very successful debut VA earlier this year -- supported internationally by Job Jobse, Roza Terenzi, Anz, and Gearmaster -- Flip The Lid returns with its second release: Rolly Bump Vol 2; an expansive VA compilation that dives deeper into the progressive underground. Where the first release focused tightly on progressive house and trance, FTL002 embraces a broader sonic spectrum -- tracing a line from groove-heavy house through to high-energy progressive trance, even venturing into goa and psy-inspired territory... The result is a boundary-stretching, club-ready collection that still holds true to the label's deep, proggy core. Featuring contributions from both established underground names and rising talent across the globe, this compilation reflects the label's growing global network and its continued focus on genre-pushing, artist-led music.

Adding to the package is the return of designer TTRCL with another standout artwork, whose abstract visual style perfectly mirrors the release's off-center club energy -- striking, textural, and instantly recognisable.

The club-ready title track Haulin’ Ass’s straight up kick drum propels its fierce arpeggio and cinematic echoes. Behind this, tightly enveloped white noise moves in and out of time, adding disorientating rhythmic complexity.

Its been a whirlwind year so far for new SCI+TEC signing Fabio Florido. As one of the new wave of M_nus artists, he was chosen by Richie Hawtin to spin at some of the recent PLAYdifferently Mixer launch parties, including May’s live Boiler Room. Since then he’s squeezed in a quickfire tour of South America, completed an upcoming Ep for Pig&Dan’s ELEVATE imprint and put the finishing touches to his much anticipated SCI+TEC debut.

Fabio opens the release with Umeshu Drunkard, a heady concoction of lashing cymbles, twitching snare and marching bass. All topped with a dizzying melodic garnish. Intoxicating stuff from the Italian.

Title track Ascendent hits hard with its thumping kickdrum, sturdy groove and bubbling acid line. A mean, motoring track and, together with its predecessor, one that furthers Fabio’s rise to the top.

Intec is known to many a Techno fan as a scene leading label set up by the iconic Carl Cox who has been at the forefront of DJ culture since the early 90’s.

Boasting a roster of artists including the label boss himself plus Nicole Moudaber, Jon Rundell, Marco Bailey, Carlo Lio, Cristian Varela and Dosem amongst many others of a similar calibre.

The new Intec release welcomes back Fabio Neural who along with seven previous releases on Intec, many will also recognise Fabio from imprints such as SCI+TEC, Intacto, KD Music, Serkal and Adam Beyer’s label Truesoul.

Fabio now travels the globe regularly DJ’ing on the same line up scene leaders like Richie Hawtin, Chris Liebing and Sven Väth.

An exciting talent yet to peak, this four track solo EP is a fine example of why Italian born Fabio has earned international respect and a fan base that spans continents.

“Bonzai” opens the release with looped pads that are packed with tension and sound almost like a warning siren, whilst muffled vocals create a sense of curiosity and menacing bass stabs add to the tracks overall intensity. Relenting only for the euphoria of the main breakdown, this dancefloor focused Techno track is both dark and furious.

Second on the release is “Inside Me” that fuses the rising tones of a soulful vocal with heavy percussion and a grinding bass line. Its rolling groove brought to life with claps and fast flowing hi-hats can only be described as peak time Techno at its best.

Track three titled “Seligman” is led by a pulsating lead synth that morphs into twisted acid with a hypnotic groove. Snares add to the tracks powerful forward momentum and textured FX create a sense of wide open space, which gives the track a vast and epic sound.

Finishing the EP is “Sick Boy” which takes its name from the hair-raising vocal which states “I’m going to tear your soul apart”. Sick and twisted, the track’s sinister lead synth adds to its chilling vibe and haunting atmosphere, but like any thrill seeker knows… it’s the compelling suspense and threat of impending doom that speaks the most excitement!

<p>Barbuto makes his phobiq debut and the aptly-titled &#8220;Cicadas&#8221; is up first, boasting buzzing synths in the background while evolving arpeggios slowly engulf the track. The Spektre remix toughens things up as the boys add their trademarked shadowy percussion and create a total heads-down vibe. &#8220;Eye Of Horus&#8221; introduces subtle riffing and claustrophobic melodic elements which lead to Thoth&#8217;s mix where we get a more looped-out approach together with a grinding rhythm section.</p>

Manchester based Transcode has made some waves in the scene with his quality output on labels like Stil vor Talent. Filth on Acid is very happy to welcome this unique artist to the label, with three great originals on his Afterlife EP. Next to that, Whyt Noyz from Richie Hawtin’s Minus stable delivers an outstanding remix.

Afterlife starts off with a dreamy, subtle atmosphere, and some fantastic programmed synths and arpeggios. These elements are contrasted when the beat comes in; powerful and straightforward. The little melodic percussive elements work in perfect harmony with the melodies and keep on driving the track. The long breakdown in the middle of the track is mind blowing and a real crowd pleaser. A level work by Transcode.

Whyt Noyz manages to squeeze the synth lines of the original into a remarkably tight groove. Razor sharp hi-hats and a solid kick and bass drive the track on through airy and trippy effects. Slowly the arpeggio unfolds from the groove and leads us into the breakdown, where feeling of the original track perfectly complements the hypnotic vibe of Whyt Noyz grooves.

The third track of the EP, Vesta, illustrates Transcode’s ability to write very strong and beautiful melodies, with almost a relaxed feeling, without slowing the track as a whole down to much. There’s still plenty of energy here, and as Vesta develops, the energy level increases in a subtle way too.

Night Vision closes of the EP in style, introducing acidy elements and colossal sound design that stimulates the imagination of the listener. A heavy bass drum and a steady, punishing drum section combined with an eerie, dangerous atmosphere create a tasty atmosphere.

Following the release of his ‘Capital Crimewave’ album, Sian tapped a collection of esteemed artists to remix the material, including a dark rendition of ‘Camouflage by experienced Swiss producer Lee Van Dowski.
With the ‘Capital Crimewave’ album revealing a diverse range of Sian’s sound profile, touching on Dub, Techno, Hip Hop and Acid, the remixes deliver more dancefloor-focused material.

The ‘Capital Crimewave Remixes’ will be released August 7 and also includes remixes by Maksim Dark, Black Asteroid and Hoshina Anniversary.

Following on from his ‘Rolling’ EP that dropped in January and featured the outstanding ‘Blue’, an early contender for one of the strongest tracks of the year, Julian Jeweil drops the crisp intergalactic techno trip ‘Space’

The EP begins in stunning fashion with title track ‘Space’, driven by stirring vocal effects that build up tremendously, later giving way to a punchy acid-laced climax. ‘South’ follows, a low-end tour de force. ‘Answer’ is already familiar to fans after it featured on DCR368 Live from Loveland and the track is a rousing peak-time weapon propelled by subterranean stabs. ‘Encke’ is deliciously mind-bending, led by heavy bass and distorted effects, before ‘Module’ follows providing a groovier, but no less powerful contrast.
