We welcome Rob Hes back for his third EP on Tronic. This time he is delivering three peak time tracks all with different moods. “Raised By Another” focuses on a hypnotic analog sequence that delivers the goods every time when played out. Simple and very effective. “Battlefield” is a more straight forward musical techno for peak time business whereas “Failure” is slightly more minimal but still very effective on the floor. The true techno dream team of Dubfire & Oliver Huntemann revisit their Elements project from a few years ago with a new series of killer remixes. Terra - originally released in 2011, did all sorts of damage to dance-floors across the globe. Now, it’s all set to do it again thanks to this Joseph Capriati Remix. The Italian techno headliner has grown into a major force on the scene in recent years, and here delivers a signature slice of muscular, driving techno - taut, dramatic and devastating. Paired with a remix of the now seminal Feugo Julien Jeweil’s remix also hits the spot - the track received a 2016 overhaul with some of Jeweil’s signature flair. The Frenchman has been a constant figure on the top of various charts and line ups for some time, and its easy to see why - Fuego is stripped back machine funk primed for big systems and even bigger moments.

Its been a busy time for Rob Hes since his last appearance on SCI+TEC just over a year ago. His EP ‘The Prophecy’ kicked off a strong run of releases that’s seen him feature on Tronic, ELEVATE, KD Raw and a debut with Josh Wink’s Ovum Recordings. Today the Dutchman returns to SCI+TEC with his latest wares and shows he’s learnt even more ’Tricks of The Trade’.

The cavernous feeling of the title track envelops the listener while its echoing gong and rolling bassline create its fierce groove. Rob ramps things on ‘Who’s The Wolf’, with its sinister synths devastating drive, before we’re treated to the bouncing single note melody and fantastic finalé of ‘The Greater Good’. 

With ‚Tricks of The Trade’ Rob rolls out another SCI+TEC smash confirming, as if it were needed, just why he’s one of the hottest and most in demand producers of today.

Rob Hes has been a busy man… In the six months since the Dutch artist last flexed his tools of the trade on
SCI+TEC he’s dented discographies with slick physical grooves on KD Raw, Elevate, Tronic and My Favourite
Freaks. For good reason; he’s cooking up some high grade techno right now.
Now back on Dubfire’s imprint, it’s yet another late night crusade into the unknown. ‘Skin Deep’ sets the scene
with a soaring hook that rises and rises relentlessly, constantly mutating to create an ultimately psychedelic
effect. A classic gear-shifter; energy and intensity levels are guaranteed to raise several levels when you drop
this.
‘The Interview’ flips Rob’s sonic coin for a much creepier saga. After the smouldering, tripped-out intro, we’re hit
with a mutant acid arpeggio that stalks amid a heavily stretched humanoid texture before melting into a
breakdown of mind-melting proportions. True dark room dynamite.
Two more critical constructions from a consistently on-point man who’s fast-becoming a regular on the
SCI+TEC rollcall. Who knows how many other discographies or playlists he’ll dent before he returns again?
