the absence of light

The Worn Panic

I use sound as a way to express my healing process, accept reality, and find beauty in life's unpredictability. In its raw and unfiltered form, sound serves as a powerful medium for conveying the complex emotions I experience while navigating life's chaos and uncertainty. By embracing disharmony and unexpected shifts in my music, I am not only accepting reality as it is, but also transforming it into something meaningful and intimate for me. I created Sunset Flow while meditating and playing handpan during the golden hour. As I was sitting in stillness, a few drops of water touched my skin. That simple moment became part of the music — every note carrying the feeling of those drops, spacious and calm.

This piece is designed to support yoga practice, meditation, and deep relaxation. Its rhythmic yet spacious flow makes it perfect for vinyasa sequences, yin yoga, restorative practices, and savasana. The organic sound of the handpan blends movement with stillness, guiding the body and mind into balance. Many listeners describe it as the ideal soundtrack for yoga classes, breathwork, or simply unwinding at the end of the day.

Technical Insight
The recording uses a delay modeling engine to recreate the sensation of raindrops. It is based on 32 stereo delay lines connected in series with proportional feedback, each delay time and stereo pan randomized. This produces a naturally chaotic resonance, like drops of water falling onto a living surface — subtle, organic, and fluid.
