So we originally attempted to produce something along the deep house genre at first when we started working on this however our strong progressive influences got the best of us and as a result this is what we came up with, no regrets of course :)

Never Really Knew (Original Mix)

We originally began work on this track a few weeks back with every intention of putting it out as an original mix but some experimenting along the way we came to find that the vocals form Zedd's 'Clarity' fit the track so perfectly and we fell in love with the sound. As a result, we present to you Sckeef & Spinach's Summer 13 Mix of 'Clarity'; a very chilled out progressive song with happy vibes ;)

So I've been listening to Kaskade's track 'Atmosphere' atleast twice a day for the last few weeks simply because I like the track that much sooooo, Kevin and I decided why not remix it and we did =)
Therefore, with no further ado, we present to you our remix of Kaskade's brilliant track!

Atmosphere - Kaskasde (Sckeef & Spinach Remix)

Kenyan DJ and producer duo Sckeef & Spinach team up with talented folk-fusion artist Mush From the Bush for an colourful house track in the form of ‘Msanii’, the Swahili word for artist.

Inspired by their home city, Nairobi, ‘Msanii’ is centred around the plight of being an artist. Sckeef & Spinach deliver a track that expands and contracts and takes the listener on a journey, while Mush’s tasteful crooning adds a second depth to the song. It has a hopeful essence, with a chorus that borrows from the influence of Kenyan artists Ksouth and Fundi Frank and their song Ndai.

Sckeef & Spinach is a DJ and producer duo consisting of Djae Aroni and Kevin Msibi; co-founders of the BLK GLD RPLK artist collective and record label.
Mush From the Bush is a multidisciplinary Kenyan artist that has carved a name for himself in the ever growing  Kenyan contemporary music scene

This was one of the first songs I produced back in highschool when I first got my hands on a DAW. Just a chilled uplifting progressive song with some trancy elements here and there.
Figured I'd may as well put this up whilst we work on other material.

'Kifaru' is the first release of 2020 by Nairobi based production duo Sckeef  & Spinach. The energetic progressive house track is inspired by all things Kenyan and incorporates chants and vocals from the Maasai tribe, as well as other local instruments and sounds.

Kifaru is the Swahili word for rhino.

Kifaru

Hailing from Nairobi, Kenya, Sckeef & Spinach is a DJ and producer duo consisting of Djae Aroni and Kevin Msibi; co-founders of the BLK GLD RPLK artist collective and record label.

Kevin is a seasoned music producer and sound engineer having trained professional in the art of audio engineering. Since then has produced and engineered countless of records spanning numerous musical genres. He also producers under the moniker Blk Monk.

Djae is a self-taught musician who has honed his craft throughout the years through session work as a guitarist, music production and his overall love for music. He has produced and mixed various records and is the founding member of Kenyan punk band Crystal Axis.
