It’s been over 5 years since Interworld Media began. To celebrate, we bring you Energetics – a compilation of tracks from 16 artists who have interacted with and participated in the Interworld over the years, from Sheffield and beyond.

These tracks cover a range of energies, mirrored from the spin, roll, pitch and yaw of the mind’s turbine as it responds to the senses, conjures up a force field and spreads out in all directions, like the tendrils of an orchid.

The Megamix is a fully mixed C90 of the compilation, allowing for a frictionless transfer of energy and an overall high-quality experience.

Digita has been inactive for the past 36 days.

I have been exploring the past to inform the present, to take strides towards new futures, but I am back now, and it is time for online auditory content.

Before the journey ensued, there was the beginning of another programme. A wise mechanic once preached, ‘I’m Michael Green and this is my Bodyworks.’ I and @flamesdisperse understood the deeper meaning to this proclamation. This led to us making our own proclamation; this was first put to the test in Salford back in September, in our joint home, The White Hotel. 

During this statement, we embarked on an amalgamation of visual-auditory stimuli and mythos, fueling both excitement and confusion. 

One mythic who embodied this ethos was Sam Clews.

Sclews’ Philosophy is one of great wisdom. He blends the ideas of live performance, improvisation and gaming-chair-cushioned bedroom studio production into boundary-pushing ambiguofuturism. 

Armed with mouse, keyboard, laptop and discipline, Sclews reactively bends spacetime, crafting worlds on the fly through real-time parameter and loop manipulation, continuously obliterating these spaces into new dimensional forms, enthralling a dancefloor into the frenzy. 

Sclews is a child of the web [alongside Sheffield], moulded in the midst of our online habitatz. Learning from internet-based movements and cultures, algoraves, the breakbeat sciences and industrial electronics, melding them into an outlook uniquely custom to his mind. 

Me [dan] and Sclews [sam] have been friends for a while, discussing ideas both artistic and metaphysical, so it is a great pleasure to have hosted him for his White Hotel debut. 

On the night he performed a brand new live set. It would have been a shame for participants to not see this action unfold in full glory, so we set up an HDMI cable directly to a screen on the night. 

Anyway, this was supposed to be the start of the SoundCloud mix series, but due to the original material, it will also be the first release on Bandcamp. This way you can directly support the artist and label.
