“Memoria” is an album about my memories, my hometown, the scent and flavours of my childhood, things Iʼve read, movies Iʼve watched at the cinema and my love for music. Itʼs about going back home, re-establishing a link with the past and recalling cheerful and happy memories.
“Memoria” refers specifically to the regions of Minais Gerais and the Brazilian northeast, its hot climate, the religiousness of the people and its faith in miracles, calling to mind images of mysterious and surreal popular tales, where time flows slowly in an intimate dimension.

Être un bon hétéro aujourd’hui, c’est aussi accepter, respecter et défendre d’autres sexualités que la sienne. Mais cette attitude qualifiée de « gayfriendly » n’aboutit pas forcément à l’égalité entre hétéros et non-hétéros. Au contraire, parfois, elle maintient la différence entre celles et ceux qui sont dans la norme, et celles et ceux qui ne le sont pas.

Que veut dire être gayfriendly ? Qui se dit gayfriendly ? En quoi s’afficher comme gayfriendly est aussi un marqueur social ?

Pour répondre à ces questions, Camille Regache reçoit Sylvie Tissot, sociologue à l’Université Paris 8 Vincennes – Saint-Denis et autrice de « Gayfriendly, acceptation et contrôle de l’homosexualité à Paris et à New York » (éd. Raisons D’agir Eds, 2018).
