After the successful revival of the spiritual successor of Gucabash via Shamismash #1, Sachibap was quickly organized by the same leaf with a few nice changes, including having the entire event in one day and not requiring pseudonyms. However, in the spirit of being free from names, I decided to continue the trend. My name this time came from the one song I had picked out to open my set from the start, because you only have ONE SHOT, ONE OPPURTUNITY, so you better capture it! One shot = 一発 = ippatsu. Dropped the (You) because that's how it's typically said, and then it looked a bit like ip pats, as if you're receiving headpats over the internet. This was one of the reasons for the runescape -> getting knocked off the internet from a phone call -> chiptune block.

Due to extreme overwork and other stressors, I didn't really get to work on this until the last minute once again, but was excited to play a lot fun and strange mashups. The Shandy Night Dub x Boat Trackers mashup took a lot of interesting hot cues and loops due to the extra beats in Boat Trackers, and the Who Let the Dogs Out into the Hounds was really hard to get the bpm sync for the panting with the bass guitar. The cheeky (breeki) Radio Happy to Radio Hardcore was a really fun switch despite not the best level prep, but all in all I think my favorite transition was the layering of Awake into Tunak. I thought the overlapping vocals were excellent and wonderfully complementary, and then the layering into Calling of the Forest I thought was really special and mystical while also inspiring.
