Rocío Portillo is an electronic music producer, DJ, and singer. She is also a brave, grateful, and conscious woman. Her full-time passion for music came after overcoming cancer, which made her hold on to life.

At 25, she obtained a degree in Social Communication and since then, she has worked in prominent media outlets in Mendoza. In 2024, after battling leukemia for five years and focusing on her recovery, she gave up her career as a journalist to dedicate herself solely to music for a while.

During the summer, a tour took her to the main electronic music stages across Argentina: Rosario, Buenos Aires, Bariloche, Córdoba, and Mar del Plata. Before that, with the help of an agent and her own promotion, she planned her first European tour, performing in cities across Spain, Italy, Germany, and France.

With an elegant and sober style, Rocío steadily advances as a leading female figure in electronic music. She proudly says she is part of the line-up of festivals where her own role models also perform: among others, Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Sasha or John Digweed.

Her mother’s encouragement, which led her to take singing, dance, theater, and piano lessons, along with the support of her father, a choir director, invited her to explore the possibilities of art and the diversity of music. In her performances, she combines original pieces with hybrid sets where she includes her own voice.

RANDJO EP / RELEASE DATE OCTOBER 28 / BNR
Absolutely menacing acid from Bordeaux’s Djedjotronic in a new two track EP "RANDJO," joined by labelmate Cardopusher and Defekt. Following his haunting “Strapon” EP earlier this year, "RANDJO" proves it wasn’t an isolated excursion into darkness- in fact this could be Djedjo at his darkest. Summer is over, the temperature is dropping, the nights are getting longer, and it might damn well be believable that its all this release’s fault.
Most are unaware that Al Jourgensen of Ministry, in their pre-guitar days, worked in the same studio as many of Chicago’s early house greats- that studio was TRAX- and you can almost imagine them collaborating when listening to Phuture “Acid Tracks” or Rude Boy Farley Keith’s “Give Yourself to Me.” Djedjo x Cardopusher's "RANDJO" comes from this imaginary (or not?) pairing, with a spoken word house-is-a-feeling type sample echoing over some proper EBM analogue muscle and hate. Machine gun reverberated kick drums and crushed swooshes cement the industrial influence, pun intended, resulting in a track sure to top playlists of timeless dark acid. Djedjo X Defekt's "LANCE" continues this house-industrial exploration, but this time with a relentless single note arpeggiator that morphs and twists throughout the track, hypnotizing the dance floor, using it’s redundancy to build tension until it peaks with delirious detuning synths and electro pattern drums. Jorgensen and the Chicago house guys perhaps never did end up working together, but Djedjotronic, Cardopusher, and Defekt did-- with very worthy results.

The dim glow cast a hazy flourish of light across the early morning sky. Soon it would fall beneath the surface of sight and the soft moon would vanish into the warm blue of daylight. In the greenhouse the flowers began to blossom and awaken beneath the first hint of the morning glow. The glass flickered beneath the glimmering beams and the murky green shadows within were illuminated and set alight. The rest of the park was quiet and still as the day broke. The night was gone.

The A1 from Trudge's release on Lost Palms titled Last Night She Left The Ground, starts out with a hectic assortment of drums, bass, and hi-hats but gradually begins blending in an array of dreamy synths and pads to give the song a lighter, more elated feel than what it’s opening moments might signify. After the build-up, Trudge elects to break the tension by introducing muddled, female vocals that increase the moodiness of the tune. When all these elements are taken in together, they act to create an atmosphere that is touching, but vague in nature. For instance, who is this girl speaking? What does she want? Is she in need of help? I think these questions that the song conjures up are done intentionally and are meant to have the listener answer them depending on the mood they are in when they're listening. This makes “Last Night She Left The Ground” a tune that can be utilized for many occasions; whether that be moments of pure euphoria on a dancefloor or solemn periods of self-reflection in front of your laptop.

His composite identity as a selector, collector, club curator and musician feeds heavily into the diversity of nd_baumecker's 120-minute vinyl-only mix – including six exclusive tracks over two 12”s.

On Panorama Bar 07 | Part II, @RossFromFriends’ “High Energy” delivers from the get-go via driving saturated drums and heady, lo-fi atmospherics, followed by @Dave-Aju’s lush electronic tropicalia “Wayahed”. The final track belongs to Dutch duo @Duplex-techno, who deliver big with “Isolator”, propelled forward by unpredictable claps, snares, open hats and multiple melody lines in a deceptively complex arrangement – made to sound easy.
