On his upcoming "Somoya" EP, Scopelyser chronicles his pilgrimage into his ancestral roots. Inspired by journeys through byways and marrows of India, Algeria and cities within the Mother Continent, the Tel Aviv-based dj/producer yields five tracks that capture the enigma of place and his profound affinity with the land. "Somoya" starts off with the title track, a symphony of nature's sounds, visceral rhythms and esoteric electronic sonances. Up next, "Durya" treads through celestial progressions and a meditative groove, illuminating the infinite trajectory of the stars. "Zamaye" brings in elegant wind and strings to create gust patterns and august resonance for fluid introspection. Harmonizing vegetal percussion, propulsive cadences and dewy undulations, "Barnaba" evokes a nostalgic petrichor for a remarkable dancefloor moment. "Aman Aman" wraps up the EP, unwinding ethnic instrumentals and ethereal melodies. A transient finale that vibrates the pulse of perpetual rebirth, Somoya ends and begins with the discovery of a spirit that dwells within.

The Covid-shaken island.. their inhabitants and souls often have only the bare necessities of life today, on the banks I met friendly, warm people who have fled from Burma. They fight daily for their survival in Thailand, I saw how they threw out their cheap nets in the pouring rain to prepare the only meal of the day from the few small fish.
Lightning flashed from the black clouds as they laughingly caught up with the nets. 
They have little to nothing, just like most of the almost 500 Thai islanders.
What fascinated me and completely captivated my heart.... They were always cheerful, always a smile ready to give it to you.
A little joke on the tip of your tongue at any time. 
Loudly laughing happy children fooling about the beach and playing with shells and branches. This is peace... !!!

It is not money, prosperity and career that is the basis for true inner peace. This has once again clearly shown me the nature of these people. It can calm down, no question.

I think the gratitude for what you have, even if it is only a little, the appreciation of things and a respectful approach to them, the knowledge that every little thing is a gift. Every sip of water, every bite that nourishes you, every breath that invigorates you. A gift from the universe and from Mother Earth and her nature.

My meditations on these shores, Made me recognize again and again...
It is gratitude that brings you friends and love.
It is gratitude that gives you peace and joy.
It is gratitude that builds you up and strengthens you.

- Began career working under Robert “Bubba” Neligh of TCP Systems of San Angelo. TX designing large scale audio touring systems. Notable clients; INXS, U2, Sex Pistols, and a ton of Country acts.
- Touring guitarist in the supergroup CO Jones featuring members of the Sting, Pink Floyd, Duran Duran, James Brown, Goo Goo Dolls, Ben Harper, Dave Wakeling and others.
- Heavily involved in the LA underground hip hop scene working on thousands of tracks with hundreds of artists for years and years. Notable acts include Shapeshifters, Mascaria, Existereo, Awol One, OMD, Wu Tang Killa Beez, Black Knights, Candys 22, and Mickey Avalon.
- Worked extensively with NASA/JPL on a super wide range of productions involving the space program both in music production and sound design.
- Founding member of the group Dionvox.
- DIONVOX was formed in the Hollywood Hills during a Wu Tang Clan Killa Beez / Q Tip / Black Knights recording session. Nurtured for 2 years under manager Leila Steinberg (Tupac Shakur, Earl Sweatshirt) via her “Microphone Sessions” weekly workshop, Steinberg drilled the band, always stressing community involvement and artistic continuity with no slacking.
- Founding member of Deep Funk Cobra along with Sun Ra guitarist Wells Jones.
- Founded ALT/lab Las Vegas, an 8 studio/school complex that cranked out thousands of tracks with hundreds of artists for 7 years before moving the operation to the Arctic in June 2023. - -
- Scobra currently serves the coldest beats for the hottest singers at the most beautiful location on earth.
