When Roy Clark died, I couldn't get this song out of my head.  Roy had a hit with it, and Cash later recorded it on Unchained (American II).  Here's my take on it!

I Never Picked Cotton

Written by Peter LaFarge, Johnny recorded this song for his album Bitter Tears: Ballads Of The American Indian.  It tells the true story of the Seneca people being displaced to build the Kinzua Damn on the Pennsylvania/New York line.  It broke the Seneca's Treaty Of Canandaigua, signed by George Washington.

As Long As The Grass Shall Grow

Here's a song by my brilliant friend Billy Woodward, featured on his award winning album, Beast In Me.  This is my take on what Cash might have sounded like singing it.
