New music from Adalita's forthcoming 2nd solo album

In 2011, Adalita took our collective breaths away with the release of her self-titled solo debut.  The album – a stripped back, stark and emotive affair – far exceeded what were already lofty expectations and won Adalita the coveted AIR Award that year for Best Independent Album.  Two years on, Adalita gives us the first glimpse of her newest musical offering in the form of ‘All Day Venus’, a song that is both instantly familiar and yet boldly breaks new ground.

‘All Day Venus’ harks a return to a rockier, spunkier Adalita.  Eloquent and insightful lyrics cut through exhilarating, reverb-soaked guitars and swagger-filled beats. Together, they create a state of blissful musical transcendence.

"I'm in the middle of mixing the new album but it's time to hear a new song and it's time to play.
The first track, All Day Venus, is a good indication of how the rest of the album is going to sound. Louder, basically. I'm heading up the East Coast for three solo shows in early August to road test the new songs in solo mode. I'm super excited and I really can't wait." - Adalita
