Djing since the early 2000s, Chachi's musical background extends much farther back, firmly rooted in her Venezuelan background and artistic endeavors. Her steadfast commitment to the midwest underground music scene has crowned her a local marvel.

After contributing and creating some of the region's most enticing productions, her new project Bless This Mess, focuses on promoting radical inclusion & proactive engagement through music and arts as well as showcasing Female and Queer talent.

"I made this mix as I prepared for our journey to the Great Beyond this past month. Inspired by the rush of the summer heat and my recent musical experiences of the year, I hope this mix expresses how fast life comes at you. No matter how ready we are (or not), we must be able to handle anything that comes our way with compassion, grace, and a grain of salt. In this edition of Gone Fishing, Athlete Whippet first runs a few records to intro the show and then proceeds to interview @ciel_dj on her upcoming 'Orlando' EP - out now on !K7 Records.

In their conversation, Ciel delves into the writer's block she overcame and where she drew inspiration from during the pandemic. She also deepens on her long list of collaborations as well as her approach to collaborating with other artists. Snippets from the EP are included towards the end of the show where Ciel also gives us a sneak peak into other up-and-coming releases.
