SCORDISCI PODCAST 001 | FERGUS SWEETLAND

Erik Jabari is a DJ and producer, raised in Berlin and Wuppertal.
As a child, he was already surrounded by reggae, dubstep and early techno. This paved his way to learning classical music theory and clarinet, but finding more interest in jazz than classical music.
Inspired by the possibilities of making whole tracks with more than just one instrument, he began producing hip hop and electronic dance music. As an employee at Hard Wax, the Berlin record store institution, he has continuously shaped his sound over the last few years.
His music is techno centered with influences from house, dubstep, UKG and drum n bass. In his productions you can feel his appreciation of the origins of electronic music, which helped him to find his own modern sound.

His DJ sets are techno-centered, driving and powerful, but also subtle and elegant.

Ruben Ganev is a Bulgarian sound designer, producer, tutor, performer, and label owner with nearly two decades of experience in sonic craftsmanship. Born in Sofia in 1987 with Armenian heritage, he began experimenting with sound in 2005 and later honed his skills in the UK, graduating in Sound Design from the University of the Arts London in 2011. Influenced by his classical music background and diverse musical tastes, Ganev developed a distinct style that culminated in the founding of his Berlin-based label, mould.audio, in 2020. His productions, praised for their depth and maturity, have gained recognition from top-tier artists and are regularly played in premier clubs and festivals worldwide, including Berghain and Tresor. In 2023, he released music on the esteemed Reclaim Your City label. Now based in Sofia, Ganev continues to produce, release music, and tutor aspiring producers through his individual courses.

The name behind the first anonymous Scordisci podcast is Zac Walls.

Zac is not only a gifted artist but also a core member of Scordisci. We were genuinely mesmerised when we first discovered his sound - textural, atmospheric, and deeply intentional.

Now based in London after growing up in Eora Sydney, Zac brings a unique perspective to his selections. Part storyteller, part sound sculptor.

It’s a true pleasure to have him with us, both behind the decks and within the collective.

PAX-COLLECTIVE: Mary Yuzovkaya

Swiss DJ/Producer Audrey Danza debuts for the Bassiani Podcast series with an hour and a half of her own music, composed mostly of her unreleased tracks as well as a few exciting collaborations. From tripped-out techno, to house and trance bent rhythms, this mix shows that Audrey’s course has been nothing short of impressive, from Geneva and now Berlin. Since her intro to the local scene back in 2019, she’s racked up a residency at multidisciplinary event space Motel Campo, played clubs from Panorama Bar to Circoloco to Robert Johnson and Fabric, and, as a means of rereleasing lost 80-90s records at first (and now her own productions as well), kicked off her label Proxima in 2020. She’s also been active in the world of Berlin nightlife, where she relocated since 2022, with frequent collabs with the Sound Metaphors family, from party series to collaborations around her label. On top of a busy schedule and a growing pile of remixes and from the ground up productions, Audrey stays the course. Her sound is a fusion of industrial beats and percussions, acid, 90s synths house, self-aware and constantly cross-referencing to sculpt a fleshed out world of sound that’s psychedelic and deeply immersive. Bassiani Podcast 268 is a signature mix of warped transmissions and assembly line beats, a gradual burn and sharp ascent to peak-time techno compiled by a leading light of the Swiss electronic music scene. The result is hypnotic elegance that drives dancefloors into deep, transformative states.

Originally from Rome and now rooted in London’s underground, Livid carries her influences across borders, blending grit with magnetic fluidity. Through her residency with Snooze Afterhours, she continues to refine her voice, carving out a space defined by consistency, depth, and an unwavering devotion to the craft.

It is a pleasure to welcome her to the series and to finally place a name beside this journey.

Our focus lies on EP concepts and a commitment to honest, innovative music. We believe in artists with a clear vision and a desire to evoke genuine emotion, free from clichés. At Scordisci, there are no artificial barriers to the styles we embrace.

Beyond traditional club events, Scordisci seeks to champion experimental expressions within the electronic music realm. Our vision is to bridge the gap between segregated forms of electronic music, emphasising that all music, regardless of genre, is ultimately just that: music.
