Forward ever! The next edition of Tripedal Crow Records' limited vinyl lathe cut edition hits the frontlines and is ready to rumble. Led onwards by label head and heavyweight Dub visionary JahYu, the fourth instalment welcomes the prolific UK-based producer and artist Mungk to the ranks of the famed imprint. Cut onto 60 pieces of transparent 10" vinyl by Pressure Mastering, the fourth instalment of the 'Rootplate' series also gets the personal hand-stamp & numbering treatment by JahYu. Pre-order for the physical as well as the digital version will be available from 22nd October and onwards. The full release follows a week later - better mark it in your calendar - the 10" cuts will be gone sooner rather than later. Encompassing the release are two massive Dub(stepper) cuts, both JahYu & Mungk being in top form. Electrifying Steppers, each with their signature technique and sonic fashion - pure, distilled sound system fuel.

Rolling in cerebral and technoid, 'Part Of You' leads with wise vocal fragments, ethereal arpeggios and a monstrous bassline to complete the auditory picture. Futuristic and up-front with plenty of Dubstep influence, foundation sound style. Charged and driven by the electric raw voltage sound, this one's sure to get you and nearby dancefloors moving. The flip-side with Mungk on the controls kicks off with an uplifting spirit - ethereal chord hits coalescing with spring reverb characteristics. Hypnotised by the lively ambience, a stripped-down Stepper unfolds with magnitudes of low-frequency excursions. Like a virtuous puppeteer, with each ping of sound, this track forces your body into motion. Turn around and come deeper. Deep down below where the light is dark and your head feels dizzy; where acoustic waves blow your mind. Syntax Error
Exactly this world of the deep and groovy techno music is the well-known territory of Syntax Error. Having started as techno DJ in the late 90ies, he soon found his very special sound favoring deep wobbly bass-lines, harsh snares, FM tones and drones, deep bass drums and tricky percussion. Like a syntax error, he breaks with commonplace regularities and creates a wholly new sound experience that is highly recognized within the techno scene.
Up to 2014, he has produced over 20 different 12” releases on the labels Snork Enterprises, Feinwerk, Relax2000 and UNDERtheGROUND Records. Each of his releases is an authentic, passionate creation of sound always mirroring some experience from his personal life - whether it’s from his adventures as scuba diving tycoon, as sonar operator or as DJ and producer enthusiastically roaming the techno club scene.

the founder of both Dubstep Rotterdam Records and Dub Communication and with releases on Moonshine Recordings & ECHO LTD, so you know something special has been cooked up for this
release.

The start of our 3-track journey begins with 'Detour', teasing dubby stabs and soft addictive melodies until the 50 second mark when the kick hits with full impact. 8 bars later we're met with the full composition as the snare cuts through the mix like a hot knife through butter, but not taking anything away from the gorgeous head-nodding rhythm.

Now that you're nicely settled into the vibe of this release, 'Moon Walker' takes you through the paces once more. Leading up to the main arrangement we have deep sub-bass formations keeping you toasty, until the 1 minute 10 second mark when you're hit with the full impact of the song - serious low-end pressure.

The final track 'Volca Escalerea', a perfect end to the EP with the sub-bass being more sparingly used making you earn your right to the 60hz frequencies.

This release has immediate replay value with new layers being discovered through each listen. A strong EP for the Dub, Sweat & Beers Gang - they are setting the bar high and leaving other labels still at the starting post whilst they conjure up their next outing."
