For this peaceful fall morning, we turn to local Brooklyn based producer and DJ, Vicki Siolos for the auditory selections. After meeting at the Mostra festival in Barcelona, there was an immediate connection which only strengthened after listening through a few of her ‘Bright Pattern’ shows she hosts on the Lot Radio. Her mix for today showcases several pieces by Norm Chambers, as she writes – ‘including a new one released by his family on the anniversary of his passing. His music continues to inspire me to push myself deeper into my own imagination and stitch it into a sonic narrative. Gabriele (@ggaabbrriieellee) collects music, occasionally enjoys playing weird tunes to small dancing crowds, run a small record label called @Sunnycrypt and also spends some of his happiest days working in a record shop. Driven by a strong curiosity towards a wide range of musical genres coming from different eras and different cultural contexts, he co-curated the "Italian Dancefloor Outsiders 1987 - 1994" project, a retrospective compilation of under-the-radar leftfield club music released by Sound Metaphors' THANKYOU.

Two hours and a quarter is approximately the time of a car ride from Milano - the place I’ve been living for 10 something years now - to Massa, my hometown, in the northern end of Tuscany.
This mix kind of tries to embody both length and feeling wise one of those travels, the mixed feelings in kind of leaving a part of my current life behind while embracing memories from the past, adapting to a much slower peace, feeling the breeze of the sea and the salt on my skin, deep diving into a river, hiking a hill… or maybe I’m just overthinking as per usual, and this mix is just a selections of tunes I really like that might be a good fit for your next car ride : )

Scott Braithwaite
Founder of underground Techno/House label Fragmented Records, launched in the mid-'90s. The label featured releases from influential artists like Dan Curtin, Morgan Geist, Jay Denham, Chris Gray, Paul Mac, and Jaime Read.

I’ve also produced music alongside Craig Walsh as The Cause, with tracks released on various respected labels. Beyond production, I curated several acclaimed compilations, including Techno Nations, Deep States, and Elements of Jazz.

As a DJ, I’ve played globally—from Brazil and Uruguay to Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Holland, and Ibiza. While I’m no longer active full-time, I still keep my ear to the ground and occasionally guest on various radio shows and mix series's, as well as Djing at small underground events.  

A lifelong music lover, I’ve been collecting records since the mid-’80s, starting with Boogie, Jazz-Funk, and early club sounds. Today, my focus remains on House, Techno, and Electro.
