In the aftermath of the past four years I needed to start processing and moving forward with hope and determination, which was the basis of this song.  I also needed to have a bit of  levity  to keep the song grounded. Anthems can sound stiff, and for better or worse, this is an anthem.  It's also a rock and roll song that I hope you like listening to.  Crank it up!

Yes, I dared to cover this iconic song.  It is the only way to keep me out of my comfort zone.  I am actually surpassed that I kinda like it.  Never could roll my R's like the master, but I at least it isn;t embarrassing.  I tried to keep it real to myself.

I covered this Graham Parker song when I first started recording 2 years ago.   Comparing then to now is a motivational  tool for me, seeing how the incremental progress in performing, recording and  mixing   have paid off.  It now feels worthy of being added to this collection.

 Without the Buzzcocks,  I'm not sure there would have been a Husker Du, Pixies, Nirvana or Green Day.  This was the punk of personal politics
