With great sadness I announce the passing of my good friend, bandmate, and Soundcloud artist, mandolinist Patrick Howell.  Some of you knew of his valiant battle with cancer and supported him in prayer and the warmest of well wishes.  He succumbed to the disease July 17, 2023 surrounded by a loving family who helped usher him into the presence of the Lord Jesus.  Besides being a beloved friend and brother in Christ, he was also a muse for me, challenging me to take his little "ditties" and make them into songs.  I will be featuring those songs in the coming weeks in my "Spotlight", but for now I pay tribute to his life and talent with how he beautifully decorated this special song two years ago with his playing.  Rest in the sweetest peace my friend until the Lord awakens you.

Question: How do you adapt to different events and audiences?
Response (JTSunrise): “Adaptability is key. Whether it’s a venue, culture event, or campfire gathering, or wedding or life celebration, i adjust the mojo to the vibe”

Question: What inspires your songwriting?
Response (JTSunrise): “Life—highs, lows, mostly inbetween. My songs reflect personal journeys and shared experiences”

Question: How do you balance craftsmanship and spontaneity?
Response (JTSunrise): “Craftsmanship matters. i handpick my instruments with bare fingers and pour my soul into each note. Magic happens in mistakes so i plan to have them and work them in”

Question How do you deal with annoying music interviews if the interviewer is a jackass?
Response (JTSunrise): “Simple, tell the truth:
1. What is your creative process like when writing and recording music?
    * JTSunrise’s Response: “A cosmic dance of creation! When i write, i sit under moonlit trees, strum my guitar to owls, let stardust melodies flow. Recording? Well, i channel wave energy into my microphone. It’s all about capturing radiation.”
2. How do you stay inspired and motivated to create music?
    * JTSunrise’s Response: “Meteor showers, the way leaves rustle, owls. Motivation comes from the background hum of the universe. i listen to it with a cup of chai”
3. Describe a time when you had to collaborate with other musicians on a project.
    * JTSunrise’s Response: “Had a jam session on Saturn’s rings. We traded riffs like shooting stars. Collaboration? It’s like harmonizing with comets—unexpected mysteries and white celestial light majik magic”
4. Do you have experience performing live? If so, what techniques do you use to engage the audience?
    * JTSunrise’s Response: “Whisper banjo secrets to the crowd. Make eye contact with Orion and recite genuinely thoughtful and meaningful empathetic banter. Works every time”

A very informal cover of this Dylan song with my friend, Jack Beck, who plays guitar much better than me and we are just enjoying some nights to sing and play together and thought we'd try this, as we are both Dylan lovers. He is from Scotland and I am Appalachian and we have noticed how much we share in music and ancestry. we are truly one and music is the connecting force we all share. the lyrics we discussed, Jack said he felt 'crawling down the avenue' was more suited for a woman, which I immediately protested ..after all,  it was written by a man, even Bob changed that verse to 'Flying down the avenue ' but tonight Jack and I made a compromise and sang it 'Running down the avenue' Not this version here, as we didn't record tonight, ANYWAY! so glad to be back and sharing here, as SC froze all my songs and wouldn't allow me to upload anymore as I somehow signed up for a different membership , Had to wait for over a year for that to expire and I think I paid for the correct plan now!
