i saw this on youtube, and then i saw it was removed. idk if anyone can relate to my excitement when i found this, but it had been over a year since i heard this. I'm so glad it's still around.

One of the most iconic bands of the 2000's, "Coldplay," has always been able to write emotional yet incredibly catchy full band records.  With over 8 million albums sold in the year it was released their album "X&Y" quickly became one of the most iconic releases in the band's history.  
     
McLoughlin's rendering of "Fix You," from that X&Y album provides an innovative face lift for the 2005 hit.  While maintaining the emotion and simplicity of the original throughout the vocal sections Collin takes the listener on a melodic journey, building the song steadily into a catchy glitch vocal driven drop.   With melodic bass swells and robotic one shots that supplement the simplicity of the verses in a unique way, McLoughlin "Fix You," remix is a refreshing take on a classic pop record.

Coldplay - Fix You (Collin McLoughlin Remix)

Lake Walk is the first single from my upcoming Indie Folk/Baroque Pop album, Mystery Maze.

Blending melancholic introspection with uplifting melodies and instrumentation, the song reflects on the relationship between the external and internal – how a simple walk around the lake can quiet personal anxieties, and how the natural environment restores perspective.

I wrote Lake Walk whilst working on the operations team at Hever Castle & Gardens, where my end-of-day site lock-up routine would involve a solitary walk around the lake to check for visitors. In all weathers, these walks became a source of calm and reflection, shaping the essence of the song’s atmosphere.

Self-recorded and produced, the track captures this serene yet powerful connection between nature and the mind.

I had a bad week and this song is my therapy, my emotions pouring out like water and also my small piece of hope to keep pushing forward.
