DJ BLACKLOW | House Is A Feeling (Vol. 8 | April 2021)

On the 22nd anniversary of our playing the Saint at Large White Party together at Roseland Ballroom in New York, Joe D'Espinosa and I joined together to play a livestream White Party in the time-honored tradition of bringing people together in love and harmony for a night of soulful, uplifting music. The reception far exceeded our expectations and the result was beyond anything we could have hoped for. Hundreds joined live on Twitch and Zoom and reveled together as we played for 8 continuous hours - first me for 2 hours, then Joe D'Espinosa for 2, and finally we relayed for an unplanned additional 4 hours as people remained tuned in and dancing along in joy. This recording is the first 2 bonus hours.

It was just an absolute pleasure to work and play along with Joe for this celebratory event. Who would have thought in these challenging times that we could bring people together for such a moment. I will treasure this experience always.

Performed live at the Alley, Boston.   September 24, 2022.   This set starts with melodic house then revs up the beat to some pumping tech house and then bring it down with some classics from the 80s.    I hope this brings you joy as it does me and those attending.

I start easy with three groovy tracks, and land gently with three soft tunes, but in between, it's a whole lot of sunshine.

This set is from the fifth Flag Alley event in San Francisco - an event by flaggers, for flaggers (and those that love them!).

Welcome to my corner of the internet where I offer journeys through sounds that move your soul.   

A little history....In the 90's I spun at Tracks (DC), March (Atlanta), The Eagle (Atlanta), The Gray Party (Houston) 119 Merrimack (Boston) and once at The Spike (NYC) during Pride.   Playing gigs and working at record stores was not paying the bills so I put the turn tables away, went back to school and got steady work, and benefits, in IT support.   

In 2009 I moved to Hull, MA and in 2013, got involved with Hull Pride (hullpride.net).  Started spinning again digitally at our events a few times a year and loving this little sea side town just outside of Boston.   In the summer of 2021 as we came out of the pandemic, The Alley Bar, Boston, invited me to spin so this presented the opportunity to be more free on what I enjoy playing but still pleasing the crowd with house, disco, EDM, and Tech House. This chapter is soon closing and heading west to, where else, Palm Springs.  Nothing scheduled or booked out there yet but will work on that once settled.
