I felt the need to using the qualifier of "demo" because this one may get a slight re-write to become less "Donut Mannish" for general use and I really want to hear it with some real drums by a real drummer.

There's safety in favorites, the shelter it brings.
There's comfort in numbers, the songs we all sing.
But there's more than one donut to pick from the shelf,
a departure in medley we sing to ourselves.

Choice is imperative, selection is serious,
Variety makes the world go round.
Everyday difference is the routine I need just to make me feel alive.
For this I strive.

A diverse fluctuation might be what we need -- 
a collection of pastry to put us in jeopardy.
We all must remember moderation is key 
'cause with donut enjoyment comes responsibility.

I want a donut for Christmas, just like the wreath that hangs upon your door. What's in store for us?
Wrapped up in a pretty package, but the size and shape just gives it all away. Doesn't matter, It's okay,
but the element of gift-giving surprise is eclipsed by Christmas magic in your eyes.

If you want a donut for Christmas, circle up and gather round my floor, sing a song or three or four.
Maybe "White Christmas" and "Fa-la-la", "We Three Kings" and "Feliz Navidad" -- "Sleigh Bells" Hurrah.
Build a snowman in the yard, just put a donut in his hand it's really not that hard.

So stock up early Christmas Eve, 'cause Donut Man he will be taking leave to spend some time at home.

We'll leave one out for Santa as a prize.
