It’s been an incredible honor for me to reimagine "Sabu," a masterpiece by the legendary Oumou Sangaré. Her music has shaped the cultural landscape of Mali and African music as a whole, and being able to work with her artistry is something I’m truly proud of. With this project, I aimed to celebrate her legacy while bringing her powerful sound into a fresh, electronic context. It’s my way of bridging the timeless traditions of African music with a modern vibe, and I hope it resonates with listeners everywhere.

We’ve been a fan of Albanian DJ & producer KÖNI for a while now, with his melodic afro house groove sitting superbly alongside our own. His recent release on Aaron Sevilla’s Sunset Gathering label stood out, and that sparked an A&R conversation with him that ended up with him and Kevin McKay collaborating with Dutch musician West Of The Sun and British vocalist Lou. “Sun On The Sea” does exactly what it says on the tin, with Lou’s lilting vocal the perfect foil for Kevin and KÖNI’s delicate piano Afro groove—a summer smash.

Scott Pullen has earned recognition in the dance music industry, propelled by Beatport's #1 Latest Releases: Afro House with his track, ‘Lost Love’ (Redolent), & #1 Latest Releases: Organic House ‘In Your Hands’ (YHV Records). By securing five chart-topping releases, he solidified his position at the top of Beatport’s ‘On Our Radar’ list & labelled as ‘one to watch’ both in the studio & on the dance floor by the world’s largest DJ store. One of the elite Australian DJs to be included in the DJ Magazine Top 100, Pullen now lives on the Island of the Gods, Bali, where he was voted ‘Best DJ’ at the YAK Wards in 2019. It was only during the Covid lockdowns Scott began to produce his own music.
