Having visited two farms with my daughter in as many weeks, I wrote this as an action song so we have something to to dance to while we get ready.  You can perform actions for each of the animals, or just generally jiggle about if that's more your thing.  The theme just seemed to lend itself to being a country song, so after a bit of playing around there's now slide guitar, fiddle and banjo making up the band.  I'm rather pleased with the modern-country sound on this.

We're Going to the Farm

Based on the classic lift-the-flap book by Rod Campbell, this is an upbeat song about trying to find the perfect pet.

Dear Zoo

We moved to Egypt in 2008 and, 6 years on, are very sad to be gearing up for our last day in work tomorrow.  Throughout the time we've been here we've been fortunate to make some wonderful friendships, and share some truly memorable experiences.

We also leave with a great little souvenir in the shape of our daughter, Leila.  I wrote this with Alice as as an aide-memoir for Leila when she's older, but it's also a love letter to the Egypt that we've experienced every day.

Thank you, everyone, for helping us to make Egypt our home.

Scott Allsop - I Believe In Father Christmas

A version of my cover of my dad's song "Snowbound" using salvaged/reconstructed vocals from a recording he made while visiting us during Christmas 2016. I've taken his guide vocal track and adjusted it for tempo, since it was done without a metronome. My parts have been re-recorded into the key he sang in to fit.

My first attempt at a "children's song". My daughter is 6 months old, and enjoys a bit of music time with dad most days. This song is about one of her favourite toys - Captain Calamari from Lamaze. The lyrics reference her other toys as well.
