Every now and again an artist collaboration comes along that simply makes you stop and listen. The new single from Mark Knight, Green Velvet and Rene Amesz is one of those moments. 

At the end of 2016, Toolroom head honcho Mark Knight spent some time in the Rotterdam studio of fellow label favourite Rene Amesz, the result of which was a powerful electronic Tech House track that was begging for a vocal. There was only one man who could complete this monster collaboration and take the track to its full potential. 

Green Velvet has added his now trademark lyrical intelligence – talking of the worries and paranoia of a digital generation that is constantly monitored and surveyed by afar. The combination of his cryptic yet memorable vocals alongside the power and energy of the track makes for a compelling and unforgettable record.  Expect widespread DJ support throughout Miami and beyond on this one – Toolroom is proud to present 'Live Stream'.

He's back on the label where it all started as we welcome newcomer Simon Kidzoo back to our Trax imprint!

His release 'Might Be Dope' marked his debut back in 2019 and it was a raucous outing that had the likes of Green Velvet and Eats Everything taking note. Fast forward a few months and Simon also went onto release on Toolroom - 'The Way I Feel' was a feel good Housey number. Reminding us all that even though he is a young, up and coming artist, he has it in his locker to take on various guises and styles when in creation mode!

'Nomad Rave' sees Kidzoo take a slightly more experimental and minimal approach to production. Driving techy grooves, layered with tribal vocal stabs and plenty of short builds to keep the energy levels up, this is another top drawer piece of work from this very talented artist!

Mark Jenkyns has become an undeniable figure in the world of House & Techno, with an impressive and ever-expanding list of releases including Hot Creations, Hot Trax, Material and Crosstown Rebels.  He can also add Paradise and Abode Ibiza residencies, as well as playing for the elite party brands like Elrow and VIVa Warriors. 

As we progress into 2020, we're exploring and pushing the musical scope of Toolroom Trax and 'Salted Caramel' is a welcomed addition to the vaults! Low slung beats, a brooding bassline and those lush vocal textures add some great depth, this is an underground weapon - Essential stuff!

Matthieu brings a raw, gritty, and dark vibe to the dance floor. Smashing together old & new school Hip Hop/Rap/R&B lyrics with big deep basslines, snappy hats, and echoing snares. Matthieu makes tracks for the real dancers and ass shakers, creating a wide range of edits and unofficial unreleased remixes of the songs you didnt know you needed a dance mix of. Usually mixing some explicit lyrics with a heavy driving groove and tight drums to cure all the party professionals’ problems. Driven by the desire of being the hardest worker in any room, at any given time, learning self expression & healing through creating and writing music, and just the overwhelming urge to party and make memories with great people, friends & family.
