Marking a decade of @damswindle the duo are back on their own @heistrecordings and will be dropping a trio of EP's across 2022. Titled 'Keep On Swindling' the EP's will feature reworks and remixes of some of their finest ever musical moments alongside some exciting hot out of the studio material. Available on heavy duty vinyl and digital the first release lands on 10th June.

Opening up proceedings 'Keep On Swindling Vol 1' features four divine cuts. There are two brand new tracks 'Body Control' and 'All I Want' alongside remixes of classic Dam Swindle goodies '64 Ways (2022 Mix)' and 'The Break Up' which is remixed by UK jazz star Emma-Jean Thackray.

Check out the premier of 'All I Want' here, a divine slice of Dam Swindle house goodness, with it's warm bassline, choppy keys vocal stabs, hypnotic risers loopy percussion and club ready drums. It's a sublime track as we have always come to expect from one of the most talented duos out there.

Next up on Industry Standard we have UK expat & New Zealand resident Dick Johnson.  Having been a mainstay on the House & Deep House scene for well over 2 decades he has released on labels such as Play It Down, Paper Recordings & Shaboom. His track ‘I Can’t Help Myself’ featured on our Industry Standard ‘Bits n Bobs Vol.1’ at the end of 2021, now we welcome Dick to the label for his first solo release on the label.

He’s delivered us a great 3 track EP featuring 2 versions of the title track ‘Into The Groove’, and ‘Get Up Now’ to finish it off. Make no mistake, these 3 tracks are all aimed squarely at the dancefloor, with pulsating rhythm sections, and enough disco licks to keep Studio 54 on fire. They are peak time house tracks that will not disappoint. Another Industry Standard winner here for sure…

Influential British house DJ-producer Scott Diaz tees up a striking release that mixes the key ingredients of his career success to date more potently than ever. For Diaz, it’s all about soul, rawness and artistic integrity – about making real electronic music to move real people. As Life On The Outside exemplifies, that means connecting with music lovers across divides. This latest work reflects its creator’s feeling of not belonging to any one particular ‘house’ and of producing between genre lines as his head and heart instructs. Such honesty and openness is bang on for a world, today, where sounds continue to blur and anything is possible.

This extended EP is only the fifth release for Scott’s Brighton-based imprint Grand Plans since it opened for business in 2016. But that’s testament to the artist wanting a label that operates with true purpose and doesn’t just seek to make up the numbers. As the name suggests, Grand Plans is all about meaningful music-craft and big picture-thinking, and Life On The Outside is clearly the next, wave-making step on that journey. Here is a body of work set to outlast the regular electronic promo cycle - communicating the artist’s real feelings and emotions, and taking the listener on an altogether deeper, more profound dancefloor journey.

Opening cut Happiness Is The Truth provides compulsive early momentum, a slinky groove driven by swinging drums, snappy robo-key riffs, pert bassline and the slightest, expertly applied dash of UK garage. There is similar snap ‘n’ bounce to What You Do 2 Me, Diaz’s use of funky bottom-end and skippy, immaculately-programmed beats working brilliantly with those soulful keys and swirls of synth to create a suitably giddy, head-turning flow.
 
The album’s title track takes things deeper and plays to the career-long love Scott has had for jazzier, more introspective soundtracking. His smart interplay of synths, organs and gospel refrains across a subtle melody line is reflective yet uplifting, and delivers considerable emotional punch. I Once Was Lost, meanwhile, tingles spines and elevates minds by layering spiritual vocals (from the Amazing Grace hymn book), stirring strings and snatches of trumpet atop another fizzing hi-hat-led slice of house gorgeousness.

Song For Kelly treads tribal paths with deep swing and smoulder, a thoroughly hypnotic ride counterbalancing its muscular throb later on with the skilful introduction of delicate jazz key solos, piano play and xylophone loops. As the track’s vocal parts plead, this is truly eye-opening stuff. Heartbreaker, meanwhile, manages to be both moody and melancholic whilst soaring upon edgy synthesizers and dizzying vocal samples - an appropriately intense nod to the turmoil of love lost. EP closer Girlfriend is an elegant, upbeat finale, working piano and percussion around its 4-4 framework to fine effect with, as we’ve come to expect, buckets of feeling.

Desde 2014 na cena, seus sets atravessam os estilos, do comercial ao pouco conhecido, do house aos híbridos e experimentais, tendo como proposta a quebra de conceitos e união dos estilos. Sempre buscando novas influências, tem raízes fortes no trap e no dubstep, adicionando pitadas de outras vertentes não rotuladas, porém sempre buscando as baixas frequências. Hoje trabalha, como vertentes principais em suas seleções, com o bass house limpo e grooveado e o hybrid trap agressivo e acelerado. Fora da discotecagem, já fez trabalhos de curadoria musical e em 2017 passou a ser redator em um site especializado em música eletrônica grave. Seus sets já passaram por casas como Espaço Elevate, Mono Club, Trackers e Club 33.

Wesley Barbosa, the name behind Parallel, is a musician and a lover of many genres and music styles. His sets walk through the styles, from commercial to barely known, from Pop EDM to hybrid and experimental, with the purpose of breaking concepts and joining music styles together. In an unstoppable search for new influences, he has deep roots in trap and dubstep, adding a little bit of future beats, footwork and other unlabeled styles, but always looking forward for the low frequences.
