This is my entry for the remix contest Chuck Inglish is currently throwing. I have a few different sound waves for your ears to travel on, hope I don't throw them off too much.

To be featured on the upcoming #WegrowWax compilation "We Got It In Nature Vol. 1". Also this will make an appearence on my upcoming project "Great Scottie", also being released by We Grow Wax coming in January.

Used some hihats and brush sounds from one sample, horns from that same one, and a lot of that weird synth sample. Also some rhodes and what not. Was going to put Soulja Boy Crank That on this, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. It was part of some crazy experiment to see if a better beat than the original could save a horrid song. Seeing that I didn't even complete the remix, I guess I have my answer!

For this week I laid down a special rule: you should include something that inspires you to create. Well, after I posted the sample pack I drove up to Kernersville, about an 1.5 hour from Charlotte to build with the Youngfello @trapbo_chad. I brought my Maschine, keyboard and other essentials, but other than that had no idea how this would turn out. I had never actually created something with an emcee present, so this whole experience was truly inspiring. We started from absolutely nothing, but later that day we "Found It".

He primarily uses the Maschine blending his love of sampling and musicianship together to create new pieces. My Long story:
In 2005 I came across a copy of FL Studio 4 and started making beats with no musical background, just armed with a laundry list of usual suspects for inspiration (Pete Rock, DJ Premier, 9th Wonder, etc.). Sampling primarily from great P2P programs like Kazaa and Bearshare, I moved on from downloading random MP3s and started chopping up records. After about a year of this, I felt a bit limited and wanted to explore other avenues, so I eventually started incorporating original instrumentation into my works. Along the way I began to rely more heavily on a broader list of musical influences from various genres. Within the realm of Hip Hop, some artists include The Roots, J Dilla, and 20Syl of Hocus Pocus. These three have had a very large influence on the sound that I present today, which primarily consists of original instrumentation, with traces of my earlier years of heavy sampling.
