Ecstatic Dance | Nevada City | Oct. 2014

(Track List Below) This live set from Center Camp was inspired by the joy and adventure I experienced out on the playa that night. Pulling from the last 10 years of my releases I went back to my roots in that shanti world heart vibe, so much music that I never get to play at big parties and clubs. Played to a huge and empty tent it was one of the highlights of my time in the desert, just for me. Sparkled in are some favorite tracks by other producers. In the moment I felt so much gratitude for all the collaborators, singers and instrumentalists who have worked on these songs with me on this journey. Still that heartfelt thanks is just as present. May you enjoy the journey and feel the intention. Yip yip!

NO MAN'S LAND - June 19 + June 26 - Radio Mix 2025

Stoked to share my dance journey collab with Energy in Motion from their chakra series with this throat chakra exploration. We started off the experience with a potent vocal activation by Grace who primed the dancers before my journey. Weaving in many tracks featuring vocals, I also added a bunch of live vocal loops, encouraging dancers to co-create vocal soundscapes with me for one of the most interactive and high-vibe experiences so far. Gratitude to Patty and Sharna for holding down this epic container and all who helped raise the roof on this dance journey, and many thanks for the wonderful feedback I received after we landed back in the space. i composed an ambient track, i recorded Lehna on guitar, his style is half oriental half psychedelic, then i recorded my violin and Indian flute. the track is peaceful, happy, open horizon with an deep oriental touch

This may be the first official Ecstatic Dance set Amani has posted; "these dances are so enjoyable for me to play, as they require a wide range of styles in order to take the dancers in a bell curve flow.  I really love weaving lots of styles into one set.  Last fall 2017 I recorded my sets from Maui Dance Church, Salt Lake City, and San Diego at Trilogy, but after reviewing them all I settled on this one from Boulder on Feb 6th which was part of a benefit event to help the wildfire victims.
