I've said it before, and I'll say it again: voice of an angel. The lyrics (and guitars) are kind of a mish-mash between 'Less' and its previous incarnation, 'Sigh' (plus your substitutions of 'it' for 'you'). Fab. Love it.

A track by my late dear friend, Simon Underhill. A great intro to this musical journey - and Radiophonic is a journey: Polyphonic; Transmitter; Glitch; Receiver; Symphonic. Neat! I particularly like the way you hear a bit of a reprise of this track in the dying embers of the last track, Symphonic.

By my late dear friend, Simon Underhill. I'm certainly no expert on ambient music, but this is a nice tune. The cover of the tape's pretty cool too. Simon was great at knocking up a collage. Certain pictures (Princess Di, OJ and David Mellor) allude to the time this was put together. And yes, @Scott Robson, the misspelling of the word 'analogue' does bug me. Still not sure if it was deliberate. (Scott once called me a grammar Nazi. Though to be fair, this is spelling, not grammar.)

Symphonic

I love this! Simon had taken a tiny fragment of a rough demo I'd sent him, comprising two acoustic guitars and an old out-of-tune piano, and created something extraordinary. My contibution to this is, at best, minimal. Top job.

Ching Remix

This song's already up on Soundcloud - see @Scott Robson. Although I like Scott's mix, I think I prefer mine. There's not a huge difference (it is the same recording, after all): On my version, the lead guitar's a bit more prominent, and a bit more fuzzy. I actually recorded the lead track four times, two clean, two overdriven. Also, on the second verse, there's a wee lead guitar bit in the background. Scott's version has it going all the way through, but I'd wanted it removed during the vocal, so that's how it is in my mix. As for the song, I wrote it about a girl I'd seen while I was on the bus, at Galashiels bus station. She was gorgeous, of course, and wearing a pair of bright blue tights; cyan ones, which seemed to glow. Recording-wise, Scott did the drums on his drum machine, and provided bass, rhythm guitar and lead vocals. I did lead guitar and backing vocals.

I'm afraid this is an upload of an mp3 file, as I can't find the WAV original.

If anyone can be bothered, I'd be curious to hear whose mix they prefer?
