Fractal Funk

I made this track at the beginning of 2012, and for whatever reason didn't know what to do with it, so it sat on the hard drive for 2 years, and I never listened to it much. I pulled it out a few weeks ago, realised it's not as bad as I previously thought, got it properly mastered by Adam Goodlet at Re:creation studios, and now it has a whole new lease of life for me! Hope you dig it too :)

I made this track about 18 months ago specifically as my own unique intro, and I have played it, both as an intro, and mid-set, many times now to great crowd response. All I can say about this one is it's a heads-down hands-up chugger of a choon. It's got a low slung groove with a high frequency vibration - a huge tune with a top drop and a shakedown in the breakdown. It does take prisoners but it lets them off the chain, and it’ll tear your roof off and build you a new one.

My first remix for Neurodriver was an absolute joy to create! It came together in about 3 days, every idea just flowing forth without effort or hesitation. I am particularly happy with this track, and the dancefloor response has been overwhelming! I recently received feedback on it from none other than HYBRID who said it was "the most rocking track we've heard all year". Stoked! 

I hope you guys enjoy it, i'd love to hear your comments and views. It will be released on Broken Robot records mid-september.

Hedflux - Rhythm Prism

By now you will have heard me raving on about Grouch on facebook. For me, and many others, he is one of the true masters of psychedelic music, and a hugely inspiring character! I got to spend a couple of days with him when I was in Australia earlier this year, and we played around on our laptops, producing as many cool sounds as we could in the time we had. After this, we went home and each produced a track using those sounds as the basis. This is my version, and it will be coming out on Broken Robot in December 2012. Grouch's version will be coming out sometime in 2013, i'll keep you posted!

The long awaited White Nights is finally seeing the light of day! I actually finished this track more than 2 years ago, I don't think it's dated that much, but that's for you guys to decide. I wrote this after first playing in St Petersburg in the spring of 2010, where it stays day light all through the night (hence white nights). It's been slotting perfectly into the end of my sets, being as it is 137bpm. Comments are gratefully received as always :)

This tune was made about 3 years ago, on an old PC, old sound card, and old monitors. And it was never finished to my satisfaction due to the project file becoming corrupted and unrecoverable. That being said, this version here has had a lot of play, and it always goes down a storm! So here it is, for you all to enjoy.
