The fifth instalment in the Dark Sunshine series picks up where the previous episode left off: drifting its way through some deep spacey tracks, with delicate melodies and subtle baselines. However, this newest edition will take you on an expedition into unexplored territory, where the melodies turn entrancing and the basslines rolling. The atmospheric sounds will lead you to some intense highs in the final stanza, before culminating in an old melancholic favourite of mine.

Dark Sunshine #017

More aptly described as an electronic music lover than a DJ, Scott's desire to share this passion with others drove him to jumping behind the decks in 2008. Those early years led to frequent forays into Sydney clubland at the revered Cave of Chinese Laundry, supporting the likes of Jody Wisternoff, Darren Emerson, Hybrid, Kasey Taylor, and Yokoo. While there has been a hiatus from any public servings in more recent years, a chance trip to Argentina reinvigorated the flame.
Heavily influenced listening to Sasha and Digweed throughout the 2000s, Scott learned the art of set structure, a real underlying belief that playing progressive house wasn't about playing the biggest and best 'progressive house' records per se, but delving into various forms of house and techno to build a progressive set and really take listeners on a journey.
Since 2010, Scott's inspiration has been sourced from South America - namely the Argentinian progressive house scene. Often he will be found listening to artists such as Hernan Cattaneo, Martin Garcia, and Marcelo Vasami, whom he considers his greatest influences at the moment. Similarly, Scott's considers his style to be progressive house with a deep, dark edge. No fluff, music to close your eyes to and lose yourself.
