DEMO MOE was a trio that was formed on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in 1984 and played together until approximately 1990. Demo Moe is: Andy Thurlow (guitar), Alfredo Caballero (bass and vocals), Michael J. Zwicky(drums). These tracks were recorded (in a friend's woodshop!) and produced by Danny Andreana of D.D.A.M.P. (Danny And Detta Music Productions. First mentored by Rick Van Valkenberg at the Neither Nor Book Store and later by Jazz Musician Jemeel Moondoc, Demo Moe rehearsed at the El Bohio artist's space on 9th St between Ave. B and C. on the Lower East Side. They played such venues as The Rivington Sculpture Garden, Pyramid Club, No-Se-No, ABC No Rio, Socrates Sculpture Park, CBGB's, Chameleon Club, Alchemical Theatre, CUANDO and Danceteria as well as the Piermont (NY) Music Festival. Their album "Demolish NYC" was picked by "Spin Magazine" as one of the "80 Best Albums of the 80's". They were reviewed in such publications as "Spin", "The Village Voice" (Byron Coley) and "New York Press".
