The most complex concept is love and how everyone’s version of it differs. We about it from our parents, from our own experiences, from culture, from media. 



The idea for the song first sparked when I thought it would be hilarious to start a song about running from love physically. “love came my way, I ran away hopped the fences, bucked my toe, cracked a tooth, overnight at the dentist.”



After that, it gets more real.

The song is also nostalgic, my parents are heavy in ska and rocksteady, I grew up listening to Alton Ellis and Desmond Decker before I fell in love with hip hop.
