Astronox Festival in Texas, October 2022. A rare thing occurred - I got to play a two-hour closing set at the end of the insanely inspiring lineup of Saturday night, before a morning sound break. There are some major wiggles in this set, of the crunchy/glitchy variety, in keeping with the flow for the night. Ending with some gentle touches, like a sonic hug.

The full blood moon eclipse was spectacular to view deep in the Mojave Desert on Nov 8th, 2022! I was so lucky the sky was clear for my night time techno set, but even more lucky the rain stopped for my daytime closing PheuZen set!!! I'm happy to present to you Blood Moon Breaks!!!

"keerd is fascinated by how music influences the environment around us - how it sets the scene and tells a story that reflects the writer's emotions or experiences in unique ways. With the California Bay Area native's background in sound design, he has been perfecting his craft in electronic music for over a decade. This multi-genre producer strives to tell stories through his music and mixes, taking the listener on a kinetic yet spacious journey with his original sounds and movements. United by a love of good music, dumplings and a taste for hot sauce that very few can handle, there was no doubt that this duo would join forces.
 
Kodiak Kid & griff, both well respected & established DJs and producers within the bass music scene in Australia and overseas, represent renowned labels such as Addictech & Omelette records. 

The pair have been avid vinyl collectors for many years, heavy influenced by artists such as Quantic, Bonobo, DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist, Hermitude, Calibre, RJD2, Blockhead, DJ Krush, Tipper, etc, etc. 

Having first teamed up for their infamous sets in North America in 2013 and the Chill Stage at Rainbow Serpent Festival 2015, they have fused all of their inspirations into a eclectic musical journey, with no genre left untouched, but definitely including a high dose of Trip Hop, Dub, Hip Hop, Downtempo, Electronica & Drum n Bass.

The new project will see collaborations between them in the mix as well, but this is more about two dudes hanging out, sharing their favourite songs with friends, drinking beers, and appreciating the art that brought them to where they are today.  Oh, and constantly trying to raise their chilli threshold.
