Pictures And Memories

We are not entirely sure what Scrapbook ( Audio) is yet. Currently, its pop with a backbone. Conversational, sarcastic, and sometimes uncomfortably honest, the songs sit somewhere between indie pop and folk — but never play it safe. Acoustic at the core, full production when it counts. No pretence, no perfect endings. Just real moments, wrapped in melody.

The initial idea was that each album will be a stand alone project, not tied to genre or sound, or even performers.  But we will see how that goes. At the moment the idea is to have some fun, and make some music. 

Treat the tracks here as demos / works in progress..  Any feedback positive or negative is welcome. 

From the producer: 

Normally I make metal — real instruments, traditional production. Scrapbook Audio started as a challenge: push myself outside my comfort zone and try to make a pop album, fully embracing AI.

It began with a simple experiment: write a pop song, feed it into an AI music generator... and get some very mixed results. But after multiple attempts — stitching stems together, Replacing instruments, mixing manually, editing like mad — we ended up with Totally Fine. Then we tried another. And another. Before long, a full album started taking shape, with an overarching story and one main character emerging through it all.

For clarity: Some of this is still AI-generated music. But the lyrics, structure, themes, while ai assisted,  — that’s all mostly human. Some tracks began with an uploaded melody or idea. All were built piece by piece, often combining elements from several AI generations, with stems manually extracted and mixed offline. Track by track we are re-recording as new musicians come on board.  Some tracks began with an uploaded melody or idea when the AI wouldn’t play ball. So yes, it’s AI music —
But no, it’s not “type a prompt and hit generate.”
