Premiering 'Cassdédi Au Méta' by Simo Cell (@simocell) taken from Ici danse le peuple oublié V/A Compilation EP out July 3, 2020 via @metaphorecollectif

For quite a time now, the Metaphore Collectif team has been thinking about a way to keep track of its history, to anchor it over time. The recent health crisis precipitated things when after a forced closure, a big call for help was launched to save the Meta, their place, their studio, their club, the bastion of the free party in Marseille. A call to the members of the association, but also to the artists that played at Meta was made. The list was long, and almost all of them answered! 
Thus was born the compilation « Ici danse le peuple oublié » (“here is dancing the forgotten people”), including 64 tracks from 64 different artists. The compilation is going to be released on the Metaphore Industrie label, the 3rd of July (this coincides with the Bandcamp Day where the platform is not taking any fee) and it brings together the following artists :

The chitter chatter buzzed and echoed in the headset as she began to dose off and fall asleep.

The phone had been ringing all day long and her patience was thin by this point. The voices, their endless reverberation bounced between her ears as the fuzz of the phoneline and the static crackled unpleasantly. Anyways, what use was the job to her? Why should she sit and listen to the complaints and angst of others? This was not her life, it was time for something new, a fresh beginning. 

Loraine James has been a favourite for a while now, ever since we first heard her killer album on Hyperdub we have been steadily following each movement, be that compilation features or mixtapes. She has a singular sound, an off centre appeal and releases music which is reminiscent of old school pirate radio and rough tapes. We love it. 

Her latest appearance is on the newly launched label protopost and it needs no more introduction.

Made in London, remixed in Paris and Japan, and put out by a Belfast label, G3's 'Koriko' is a truly global project. The UK-based producer's debut LP 'Garden Reach' came out in 2016 - but he's been sporadically releasing since then. 'Koriko' fits together genres including electronica, grime, dubstep and footwork, with 'ø', one of the EP's tracks, is named after the genre-spanning Corsica Studios clubnight put on by Kode9, a favourite of G3's. Paradoxe club co-founder and one of G3's favourite producers, DeGrandi follows up blazing EP '11​-​100​-​JAILLE' with a remix on the flip, alongside Amor Satyr and Daisuke Tanabe. Taking things deep and dark, the atmospheric remix revolves around slamming percussion, and you can listen to it in full above.

A concept and moral that’s instilled in the message of the record label that this release is spawning, Sonic Messengers.
