Testing Chamber - Boss

A song that i have started writing a month ago, and have finally finished today. I was going for a "Final Dungeon" feel with that one, though I've imagined it not as a dungeon but a castle in the sky instead.

Tower of Dreams

This was originally my final project for my Orchestration class in college. Then when a buddy of mine invited me to be a part of his Dungeons & Dragons campaign, I thought "why not repurpose it?" I showed it to him and he was ecstatic, so he made it the introduction to his campaign :). 

"Hundreds of years ago, our tale began. Time tells of a once powerful King who built a stronghold which towers above the heavens, the King believing that if he built high enough his rule would be even higher than the gods themselves. Many gods and higher powers would take this as a grave insult that required holy intervention. Putting all of their own godly feuds aside, they cursed the King's mighty stronghold, filling it with monsters and mythical items to make it irresistible to any adventurers and bandits alike who would come across it. The mighty King’s name would be lost over time, along with his influence, only being remembered as "The Unholy King”.  A society was then built around the now externally decaying stronghold to reflect its influence. "Stronghold City" would be built upon the foundation of adventurers attempting to ascend the tower, taking every bit of wealth from the almost infinite heights. These groups are now known as “Stronghold Runners”.

In the current day, Stronghold City is prosperous, populated by all different kinds of people: bakers, farmers, blacksmiths, and more. Those who once armed the Runners with supplies no longer see reason in climbing the tower, and attempts to do so have dwindled. Its first few floors had since been cleared of valuables and even turned into safe spaces for the few who decided to enter. It had seemed the time of the Runners was over. Recently, however, the monsters have begun to retake the lower floors with no one around to vanquish them, leaving only the first floor safe. With the Stronghold beginning to rebuild its strength, “Stronghold Runners” have been needed now more than ever, leading many to even be sponsored by aristocrats to make it as high as they can into the Stronghold Tower, and with that, the dream of glory and riches returned to the hearts of adventurers."

A Will That Never Burns Out

One of my personal favorites, finally completed and given an overhaul. The concept for this theme had existed way back in 2017, but I only managed to complete it in 2019 after a hiatus from the track. This attempts to combine all aspects of a Victory Road - the intense nature of it, but also the great pride that one has while storming through ace trainers left and right. We have some slight playful moments, some rockin' melodies, and even a short orchestrated bit that reminds you 'this is it'! 

This theme will take you to the Pokemon League, one way or another. See you on the path to victory!

The beginning of that song perfectly summarizes how i felt the whole week up until march 26th. That day was also my birthday - though i wasn't feeling well, and was alone at home.

Something happened at least a week ago before that day, and i was very anxious because of that.

Even though my worries were gone after that week, and i should have felt relieved, i still felt pretty empty that day.

Not until i saw a message on soundcloud, asking me for a collaboration.

That's how this song came to be. I was pretty proud of the beginning section, and then H-Mister wrote so many good parts, and i started to see where i could take this song. I'd say the input from both of us in that song is 50/50, though i had to make sure that it would be as polished, as it could be :)

After listening to the stereo panned version made by DM DOKURO, I've though about trying to do something like this as well, so here it is.

I've made this by exporting every channel from famitracker module as .wav, and then doing some post-processing stuff in FL Studio - applying stereo imager, reverb, panning, eq, etc.

I was very pleasantly surprised with how much positive reception this song has gotten, and i really hope that you will enjoy this version even more.
