This is my final set at the 3am label event at Distrikt club in Leeds UK Oct 2022.

Matt Cullen Distrikt 3am Label Party Final DJ Set

This set was recorded live on my mini Solar RiG  as part of Screwloose Soundsystem. It was a very sunny day and I decided to take the mini RiG out in the local park in Leeds in June 2023. It's a deep set with lots of tribal percussion and funky basslines.

This is a live broadcast from Sunday at Hyde Park Skate Park in Leeds. I apologise upfront for a slight issue with the decks around the 14:30 min to 16:27 min. Well styled out though by Sammy and Tee on the mic. Massive respect to the DJ's and MC's that came down and represented. We had the mighty Tee Jackson, Christopher Royston and me on the decks and Sammyslumtongue Ballin and Tee Jackson on the mic. Well firstly what a shame we have had to lose the beginning of today's set (Moby Go and Ben Pearce!) due to copy right infringement, policed by soundcloud. However where there is a will there is a way - ha ha!!!! Well what can I say, except that it was an absolute pleasure to be around other purveyors of vibe, good music, food, art and exercise. It was awesome to meet new and old friends. Well if you are like me and like to reminisce then here is my closing set today at Morning Gloryville Leeds​ for all to download or stream for free, as this is the new real free market. "Matthew Cullen has been engaged in electronic music since the mid ’90s, shaping his very own unique style ranging from Funk, Soul, Deep House and Techno. Started playing at club “Dr Smith” in Rio de Janeiro in 95 followed by a residency at the club “Circus” in Sao Paulo in 96. From there he and Shane Hughes (Fusion) co-founded Psychedelic Underground Sound System. Hiring farms on the edge of Sao Paulo was the very beginning of the first outdoor raves in Brasil. Continuing with raves in the north of Brasil he teamed up with Aljay (Groovetech Radio & Sunburn Recordings) and Mario to form Global Tribe Sound System. After returning to the UK in the late ’90s he is now part of the club and outdoor party scene in the north of England with Screwloose Sound System. Concentrating now on Music Production and with the imminent launch of his third release later this year, Matthew Cullen is guaranteed to deliver."
