Jared Riddick, Archivist for Book of Mormon Central, introduces the book, "Life of Nephi" by George Q. Cannon. Originally published in 1883 as part of the Faith Promoting Series, this book was originally written as a biography on the Prophet Nephi. Following Jared's introduction will be an audio book reading of the prologue and Chapter 1 of the book. Each week will present the next chapter of the book and some introductory material on that chapter.

This tract included one of the first publications of the First Vision, and later influenced other documents such as the Wentworth Letter. 

We are joined in this series by guest Dr. Steven C. Harper, the editor-in-chief of BYU Studies Quarterly, who is the foremost authority on the First Vision.
