An aurora also refers to a natural light display in the Earth's sky called the aurora polaris, or polar lights, visible only in high-latitude regions like the North and South Poles

mobilee founder Anja Schneider dons her production cap for a premiere off her upcoming two-track EP called 'Twisty', which is set to land on Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound on August 4. The title track off the EP arrives with us here at ​Mixmag​, the aptly-named metronomic house tune that rolls in fast-paced waves and hypnotizes as it dives deep into a dance floor-prepped rhythm. It's lush and brooding, making it a guaranteed high rotation track for the rest of the year.

Premiere: Anja Schneider 'Twisty'

Scenario founder Sebo K drops his debut LP - a seven track mini-album - entitled ‘Patience’ on Rekids in November.

Reflecting on 15 years as a producer, Sebo K has an admirable discography but recent years have been particularly exciting. The German producer’s continual rise includes recent releases on Bass Culture, Robsoul Recordings and Tsuba, whilst his vinyl-only label Scenario has been putting out wax featuring Ian Pooley, DJ Honesty, Jus Ed, Dan Curtin, DJ Deep and Diego Krause. Having cemented a reputation for consistently quality house music, Sebo K’s debut on Rekids exhibits a refreshing sound from the established artist.

Echoing notes and ethereal chords usher in ‘Paradigm Change’ as breakbeats join a moody bassline for the release’s opening cut. Picking up the pace, rattling percussion, ghostly pads and sci-fi inspired synths make up ‘Xhale’, whilst syncopated drums and eerie atmospherics see Sebo edge more towards electro in ‘Transitions’.

Breaks make a welcome return in ‘Restless (Darkness Mix)’, a suspenseful track complete with ominous synths and elements of rave, contrasting to the otherworldly and futuristic aesthetic of ‘Eyes Wide Open’. Amongst the seven tracks are two instrumental numbers called ‘Messier 78’ and ‘Atlantis’, which feature twinkling melodies and serene strings to add a cinematic touch to the overall package.

Jono Ma (of Jagwar Ma) and Angus Gruzman (of Dreems, Die Orangen) present “The Dreemas”. Recorded between their studios in industrial North London and the rogue outskirts of Berlin, The Dreemas is an electronic cryogenic stasis of two life-long friends in varying states of crisis, conversion and transcendence in the year 2017. 

Two minds and hearts coalesced into an ocean of sound, the groundwork formed with over a decade of instinctive studio sessions, sweat-riddled DJ conferences, and shoulder-to-shoulder dance dos in clubs, pubs and dusty down under doofs. They’ve spent endless hours together at the bottom of salty oceans gazing up at alien aquatic life forms. For years they’ve shared synthesisers across continents, exchanged records, lived together, flown together and bleed together. And at long last they have signed a contract that says they will “techno together”. The past presents the future, and the future presents the past on this soul-state snapshot of 2 friends encapsulated in the epoch of a 12”.
